okay so i have some candy that is 30% cocoa solids, 14% milk solids
8% raisins, 5% hazel nuts, and 1.5% Rum.
How much alcohol would be in the 1.5% of rum?
Could enough of these get you drunk?
If so how many? thank you...

It would probably take so many you'd be too sick from too much candy to notice. Much of the alcohol probably evaporates in the cooking process too... 1.5% is a very small percentage. Lots of chocolate and just a little rum.

I was turned on to some liquid center liquor-filled chocolates a few years ago by a Romanian co-worker that really did pack a punch and you'd feel it after a few pieces. They are individually wrapped and sold by the pound at some import food stores. I went where the guy told me to go and bought some. The lady behind the counter showed me the wrapper for one she was munching on!!! My friends and family really got a kick out of them. My brother put some out at work without saying anything and people were freaking out. I forget the brand name. I should have wrote it down. I've had some liquor-filled chocolates that are just "duds"... LOL

generally the alcohol evaporates out during the heating process, except the liquid filled candies, which are loaded later with plugs for the filling holes. i brought some back frm russia which had cognac in them, very good. but generaly the smell is from the cooking process and the candy has absorbed the taste but alcohol evaporates out so the true alcohol content is almost nill. but there are some that has the full kick but it takes many to even get a true shot of what ever is in them, buy that time you have so much candy you cant keep it down in alot of cases after ten of fifteeen candies :) 1.5% rum in an ounce of candy break an ounce down to hundreths you have 15 hundreths of an ounce of rum in candy

Assuming the rum is 35% and the alcohol wasn't destroyed in the process, to get 2 shots (20mL) of alcohol, you would need to have 57mL of rum, which is 3.8L of candy. That's basically how big a V8 engine is in candy.

Serioulsy this would not get you drunk depending on your definition of drunk...it'll get you buzzed but with all the sweets your putting in there you'll probably make some one's stomache hurt. Mine is hurting just thinking about all of it :)
