Did he really say that? WOW, ok he did say it... wow... Makes you feel like giving up on the human species, doesn't it? How could a nation like America elect such an imbecile.

I'd say he was pandering to the evangelican right by saying such rubbish but you can't underestimate the ignorance and stupidity of such people - they'll always surprise you.

It never ceases to amaze me the people who say "it's still a theory". So is Gravity! Using their definition of "theory" I should be able to friggin fly! The only Jury that is still out is the one that's trying to determine if these people have any sense. They attack something they haven't even read about. They sit on their as.ses reading Christian websites about how Evolution is a lie and there isn't any Christian websites that I have ever seen that offer any SCIENTIFIC back-up for their rantings. They just ramble on and on about how Genesis says..... But even if we go by Genesis alone it falls apart!!! Genesis has 2 Creation stories and they don't match!

I guess having Bush in office proves that the majority really isn't as smart as they like to claim to be. They put him there. "The jury is still out" *Sigh* Lewis Black - "Mr President, The Scopes Trial is Over".

I think the Jury is still out on George's sanity,

as for evolution this is an age old debate waged between people who will only accept empirical evidence (generally scientists) and those people who are happy to accept a version of a book as their truth, and deny anything that contradicts that version of their book...

If George W. Bush were ever correct about anything, the Apocalypse would arrive right then and there.

I think he probably does believe that "the jury is still out on evolution". He's not exactly the brightest bulb burning, you know.

Only idiots say this. They also say that "intelligent design" is scientific.
They don't have a clue.
The jury is NOT out on Evolution. It's is a universally held theory in the Scientific world. Only the mechanisms behind it are debated, not the fact that it occurs.
Heck, there are numerous examples of it occurring currently.
No, as I said, only the truly moronic say this sort of thing. It only demonstrates their ignorance.

Consider the source. In the last 7 years, Science has taken a huge beating from the Bush Administration.

It is well know that Bush is a twit and this proves it. It really does concern me that a person with such power is a person who has such little knowledge of science (or anything else for that matter). And we - the British follow like sheep to the slater.

George Bush speaks for himself not mankind and not God

No, he is incorrect as well as stupid. He was also pandering to the religious right.

Hey, never pay attention to Catholic Crusader's posts about evolution and "theory". Not only does he not know scientific theory, he is unaware that his own church accepts biological evolution, from Pope Pius through Benedict.

Father George Coyne is the astronomer for the Vatican and a vocal supporter of evolution.

Shhh, don't tell Catholic Crusader.

No. The guy's a muppet. A high school dropout can see how dishonest the arguments against evolution are.
