This is a very non profit organization and is striving to help their communinty. Trying to teach people to deal with health issues; to help women in crisis. But they need more monies and i wish to know how

The need to regularly invite other organizations and businesses to see their work first hand, to know that it is a worthy organization; partner with other organizations in providing services; have all of their annual expenditures (salaries paid, rents paid, etc.) and income documented and available to anyone who asks for such; they need to have a yearly budget, that shows EXACTLY what they need money for; and have documentation from clients, researchers and others that shows their work is credible, reliable and necessary. Only after they have done all of this can they start approaching businesses, individuals, foundations and others about donations.

special events (which will increase awareness of your mission which in result will also increase donations to support your mission) events such as 5k relay, dinner/dance, sales, raffles, etc.
grants
churches
corporate sponsors - most all stores (wal-mart, target,radio shack, home depot, etc. have community grants to become corporate sponsors)
local foundations
in-kind donations (ppl donating services (printing and/or office supplies)
Your mission is one that will be grant-worthy. Try researching online, they are out there, especially if your agency is 501 (c) 3 and even more if it is faith-based. Good Luck, it is a competitive world for non-profits but it CAN be done with a lot of passion for your purpose! :)

GO TO YOUR LOCAL TECHNICAL OR COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND ASK FOR THE PROPER PAPERWORK TO GET YOU STARTED ON HOW TO OBTAIN A GOVERNMENNT GRANT TO HELP YOR ORGANIZATION. PLUS THERE ARE LOCAL AND CITY GRANTS THAT ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOU.ITS SO SIMPLE,BUT YOU MUST START FROM THE BOTTOM.IT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 6MONTHS FOR THE PROCESS TO TAKE EFFECT.
