You should feed your puppy three times a day , and make sure to remove food when dog has finished, even if there if food in the bowl. This helps with potty training as well as digestion.
You can add water to the food to make it easier for your puppy to digest. I would also recommend Purina sensitive tummy formula. You can mix a little cottage cheese in it to help his digestion too.
All puppy foods are made to meet the nutritional requirements and adequate protein levels of a puppy. On the side of these bags are also a breed and weigh guide use these as a rough guide to decide how much to feed your dog .

Have you taken him to the vet? When you get a new puppy, as part of their checkup, the vet usually asks for a stool sample anyway, regardless of whether the dog has a problem with its stools or not. But just my two cents....I've had a lot of dogs in my life and most of them had soft poops when they were pups. As long as it's just soft and not diarrhea, it shouldn't be alarming. Also, some puppies tend to drink a lot of water,, which can make their stools soft. This is actually a good thing b/c it prevents constipation. The softness/hardness of the poop has nothing to do with whether he's eating soft/hard food. It gets digested in the stomach anyway, so it won't come out hard or soft based on that. I'd say the high probability is that he drinks a lot of water. Also, he could have a faster metabolism than your other pup. A lot of things could be a factor, but I don't see any real resaon for concern. Do take him to the vet though if you haven't already. They'll ask for a stool sample and examine it. If nothing else, it'll set your mind at ease. But like I said, if it's not constipation or diarhhea, it's probably fine. And the smell, not to worry. That's just his particular stomach/intestinal enzymes that digest the food that makes the poop smell the way it does. Just check to be sure he's only eating his food and not getting into other things...he's a puppy after all and he could be eating all kinds of things when you're not looking! Also, jsut b/c you're giving both your pups the same food doesn't mean they're going to poop the same exact way. Without getting gross, just think of humans. Two people can have the same exact meal one night but their poops will not be same the day after. I guarantee it! Some stomachs are more sensitive, some metabolize faster than others, some have more enzymes in their digestive tracts etc., etc., Dogs are the same. Hope this helped. Good luck and congratulations on your puppies.

Dogs are survivors and will eat whatever they get to be able to live. This does not make it right. There is NO species that I am aware of that eats the same food day in and day out its entire life in nature. A dog certainly would NOT.
They are meant to have raw meaty bones and organs from a variety of animals.
That is what mine eat! People tend to think for some reason that just because you can FORCE a dog to eat cereal its whole life and he does it, that it is all well and good. It borders on cruelty in my opinion.
How about if all of you kibble feeders stop eating a variety of fresh foods and just live on box after box after box of Total Cereal for the rest of your lives? Everything you need is in there. I'm sure your hair will be shiny. I mean shiny hair IS what many people tend to base a good diet on for a dog.
RIDICULOUS! A little thinking and common sense would tell people that dogs or any other living creature should not be made to live a life on synthetic vitamins and nutrients and that is ALL kibble is... A bunch of grains and other crap that has had all the original nutrients cooked out of it and synthetic vitamins sprayed on just before it goes into the bag. What it means basically is that a piece of cardboard is complete and balanced if you take it with a multi-vitamin!
Sound delicious? Sound healthy? Sound fair?
I sure don't think so.
Switching from this crapinabag to that crapinabag is NOT solving anything. Dogs are just not meant to eat grains and when you feed them grains many will have smelly breath, rotting teeth, loose stools, huge water consumption, general health issues that people brush off as 'normal' rather then learning why all these things happen.
Kibble and over vaccination are the reasons that vet parking lots are full every single day.

try de-worming the pup again .if you've already done this then take pup to vet, he may have a parasite that is not able to be removed with over the counter drugs.

It could be coccidia. It smells awful and infects puppies and kittens. See a vet.

Many dogs are allergic to or simply can't digest properly commercial dog food.
Something your vet will never tell you.
