I don't think it's dangerous unless your an extremist about it, then you might run into a quarrel or two. We all know there are Christian extremists and although the Christian faith as a whole doesn't think along the same lines as these people do you could find yourself in a pickle. I believe your religion should be kept between yourself and your God, this to avoid any unnecessary conflict. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!!!

It isn't dangerous at all.
I've brought my Quran along with my Bible to a Christian church full of 1,500 people, read it before the service began, and asked the Pastor some questions about it. Nothing bad happened. There's also a new mosque a few miles away from that church. People here are tolerant of other people's beliefs.
Sadly, a lot of morons still think every Muslim is a terrorist, so there are a few who may not understand what it means to be a Muslim.

In the US, you can declare any religion or no religion as you wish. Consider this before you become a Muslim; what if you embrace Islam and later find it is not what you really wanted? Can you " undeclare " yourself? To be a true believer, you will have to disavow Christianity because in Islam, Jesus never died on the Cross. He was taken alive straight into Heaven and a substitute was placed on the Cross. Since, according to the quran, Jesus never died, there cannot be the Resurection and since the Resurection is the cornerstone of Christianity, no Christianity.. Islam coexist with other religions? I don't think so....

Thousands of Muslims live in the US, I can't imagine it would be dangerous at all! It takes all skin colours to make up a race. Muslim is a religious choice that many people take and carry inside of them for the rest of their lives. It may affect the way they live their live but religion by no means should affect the way we hold respect for fellow mankind.. The quran should be read as often as possible. Whether it's in a mosque, your home, the train or the park.

Christianity is much more than a book. Tear down the images of Jesus and Mary that you have in your room and start over. You have been focusing on an image of Christ and not on the person of Christ. Pray to God to give you understanding. The Bible is important and will help you to learn about Jesus, but the point of Christianity is not the Bible. Jesus is more than just a printed text, but is a real, tangible person. There are two ways that we can try to get close to God: 1) Study the words, practice the law, and have a showy impersonal relationship with Him. This is the way that the Pharisees tried to do things, but Jesus criticized them on many occasions for being empty of real faith. Faith must come from the inside. 2) We can open ourselves to the Spirit of God. A true understanding of Jesus comes from an encounter with His Spirit. It causes transformation and understanding. It is power from God. If you have never experienced it, you have never known Christ. Perhaps that is why you claim that Jesus is a mere prophet. However, it is not fair to say that because Jesus claimed to be much more than a prophet, and no one can be a liar and a prophet. Be careful with the Quran. It does have power, but you must look to see where the power comes from. Remember that God warns us of one that has power and that is an imitator of God. The Quran teaches law, but the Bible says that law is death for those under it. If you want to learn more about Jesus or about the Bible, please contact me. I would be happy to answer any doubts that you might have or just to talk about things. May God bless you.

No it's not threatening to read the quran but it's damaging to your soul. All who do not follow the teachings of the ONLY Lord Jesus Christ is going to hell. And if THAT offense you....Good. Get used to it. Where you are going there is going to be a lot worse. The quran is full of garbage. I know you don't feel love from your fake God. It's just the devil who has a hold on you. He's created this fake God for you to follow to get you away from the REAL God. If you would build a relationship with Jesus you'd know what real love felt like and you'd never leave him again. Test me out. Test out the Holy Bible. Stop practicing that fake religion, stop praying to that fake God of yours and pray to Jesus and watch him work into your life. Talk to him and start building on that relationship with him and feel the love, hear his voice, know his ways. Test what I tell you. He's the Living God!

Why are you afraiding from these non-sense and useless things? The people in U.S have some special blood or they have come from another universe. They have the same color of blood(Red) as you have.God made us in equal way,but we made cast(e.g,Hindu,Muslim,Chirstian,Jewish or so on). Also, you have the same right to read the Holy Quran in public, as they have to read Bible or any other religious holy book in their houses or in a public place or even in the court. So, be brave and fight against orthodox made by us,foolishly.

More people are interested in the Qu'ran now than they ever have been. You'd be more likely to have someone ask you what the Qu'ran is like than stir up any trouble.

Obviously you can meet an idiot at any time regardless of what you're reading.

No, it's not! Where have you been hearing this stuff?

I openly practice Witchcraft for goodness sake, and nobody has even tried to persecute me. Witchcraft is frowned upon a whole lot more than Islam.

Not dangerous at all. But I would ask you the contrary. How dangerous is it to call yourself an Atheist, or a Christian in Iran or Saudi Arabia?
Makes you think, doesn't it?
