Hey, I just mentioned something like that on an answer an hour or so ago. While I can't prove you ripped it from my answer--it does seem too bloody coincidental. Plagiarist! Teasing. You can have it. I have a million better ideas every day.

God can heal anyone of anything including an amputee's limb. But these Judas Preachers are pretenders to gain larger congregations power and money. And they have no power to heal anyone of anything. They can fool most of the people most of the time. But they cannot make limbs to grow before the cameras. They can only pretend to heal diseases that cannot be proven true or false. Bottom li ne is: They lie for the almighty dollar.

Sorry. I cannot process that scenario.
The moment I assume that I'm taking the role of a devout church-going christian.... my brain shuts down for realism and I start hallucinating.
Unfortunately though, I'm built not to function without extensive use of my brain, and so I tend to lose conscious awareness soon after..... until I snap out of it.
But to answer the question as best I can given the circumstances..... there is no situation under which I would give brain-numbing chemicals to any offspring of mine. I might give them the opposite though: plenty of Red Bull.

No way. With my luck, the kid would end up believing in Scientology, and here I am, a listed Suppressive Person.

Sodium Pentathol should work.
It's a pity to consider it though, when you just discovered that you have a child more intelligent than yourself.

No, but I might give them to myself if I could catch a buzz off them. That would be wrong but who cares.

Reminds me of that great quote from Lily Tomlin:
"Religion is just a crutch for people who can't handle drugs!"

You are talking about "cult" behaviour. Only those who get taken in by cults would do this. I don't consider mainstream, organised religion a "cult" , though some do.
