The janitor is just witnessing to you. That is his christian duty, maybe he feels that if he keeps telling you that it will make a difference in your life.

Yeah, if he loved us so much, why has he created so much suffering, war, starvation, and disease throughout history? The ultimate irony is the Christian view of God. He will punish us, send us to hell if we misbehave, and make us suffer if we don't follow his rules, BUT HE LOVES US!
