It is horrible to be treated like that, but you need to try to move on. Not all men are jerks. If you don't give anyone else the opportunity to get to know you, you may never find the right man for you. Just take more time to get close.

Healing takes time. One year still isn't enough to get over the hurt and pain that you have experienced. It took me two years and a half to get over a guy who hurt me terribly. It's understood to have your guards up but I would stay to myself until I am healed completely because you are at a vulnerable time in your life and guys will say anything you want to hear.
