Yes, but the immature, argumentative, belittling attitude of believers toward nonbelievers has solidified my belief as well... that Christianity needs a major attitude adjustment.

I'm sure everyone's immature, argumentative, belittling attitude of other people helps solidify everyone else's desire to be immature, argumentative, belittling and entirely defensive of otherwise indefensible beliefs.

To put it another way: let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
And I'm seeing a lot of stone-casting and not a lot of sinlessness.

I'm sure no more than the belittling attitude of other Christians have shaken it. Nobody can 'convert' anybody. They have to see the evidence, or feel the 'grace' or whatever the devil it is that converts people to Christianity--and do it on their own.
I'm one of the belittling Atheists you're upset with. I -love- an argument, I -love- me, and I believe that my attitude is a part of what makes me me. I've already told you how I feel about me, so while I see the point you're trying to make, I'm unaffected by your argument.

I've got news for you, believer. If you are referring to atheists in your use of the word "nonbelievers," then I assure you that most of us are no more and no less immature, argumentative, or belittling than you and the rest of your ilk are. On the contrary, most non-believers (atheists, to be precise) exercise logic and reason to a degree far superior to that of believers. Unlike "believers" atheists distrust anything that contradicts science, logic, and reason. I personally become argumentative when some religious ***hole tries to push his "faith" down my throat. No thanks, I'm quite happy with my own beliefs (or non-beliefs, as it were).

Not at all, and nonbelievers have every right to make there choice not to believe.

God has given me life to choose him, or choose him not, and I willingly kneel before my master.

My belief has become solidified through faith, and my own life circumstances, altered outcomes, and observations.

The nonbelievers may not be sure who gave them life, but that is for them to figure out.

While believers may wish to save the world, and attempt to convert all nonbelievers to God, it is God Almighty himself who gives them the choice, and opportunity to choose him, or choose him not, there for we as believers must respect that choice, what ever it may be.

The only time I personally have a problem is when my choice is disrespected.

My belief is not based on the beliefs of others. I have read the Bible from cover to cover several times and study it's scripture daily. I have a personal relationship with God. And my love for my fellow man compels me with compassion to reach out to the lost and needy. I can not afford to get caught up in the views non-believers cling to. That's not to say I don't care, I most certainly do. But I find my strength in a solid foundation, Jesus Christ, and presence and comfort of the Holy Spirit. God knows the hearts of even the non-believers, and He loves them whether or not they choose Him. Shouldn't I?
Jesus Himself said:
"But now I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you," Matthew 5:44

It seems to be that the Atheists are more united than the Christians.

I don't know any immature atheists. All of us are sober individuals who would never stoop to argumentation or belittling. Or sarcasm.

Seriously, what made you so mad?
