Serious question. I am asking because I am wondering if Muslims don't believe women get a reward in Heaven.
72 virgin men would not be a reward for a woman...(women will understand that comment)

Muslim will really get 72 virgin who will lead a pious life, serving the humanity. I do not say about the terrorists who kill many innocent people without any reason. This 72 virgins is Gods decision not a matter of competition or jealousy by women. It is mens nature to have many beloved ones but women need one to love them. It is proved in history that many kings and prophets married many wives and all were happy without any compulsion. It do not say you should do like that, it is you choice. Read what bible tells:
"Prophet David (peace be upon him) married tens of wives, except concubines (read bible). Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) is told to have married seven hundred wives with three hundred concubines (1 Kings 11:14) and his son Rheboam married eighteen wives and sixty concubines (Chronicles 11:21) and Prophet Abijah (peace be upon him) is reported to have 14 wives (2-Chronicles13:21). And Raja Man Singh of India was correct in marrying one thousand five hundred queens as per traditions.
And for women: Only sex or virgins is not a single blessing to be got in heavens. They will see face of God, they will every facility dresses, eating and loving husbands. And all these virgins are told be assistant of servant to pious worldly wife or wives. Men will be give good health and they will find more than satisfaction from them. There will be no jealousy or competition. Sex there will not a with the filth of world but a pure enjoyment with freshness and clean. and so on......

I'd like to know where these 72 virgins come from? Are these real women from earth, or are they just objects and possesions like a home or car? I guess theres no real distinction between possesions and women anywhere in the islamic world.
This question is especially important because in one of the previous answers by a muslim, it is accepted that there will be more men than women going to heaven. If so many of these men are getting 72 of there own women, just where are they coming from?

There is no mention of 72 virgins in Quran any where nor Prophet Mohammad ever said any thing about it. This is created either westen press to looks Muslims bad or may have been first created by Palestinians who used to excite young men to commit suicide attacks on yahud.
Every one emphasize on world VIRGINS. Every human male and females will be virgins when resurrected for the next life. What is so big deal about women's being virgins?

Apparently everyone gets 72 white raisins, and nobody gets virgins... Keep with the times (and the translations favored by moderate Islam).

You think of 72 women as a reward? It's enough work making one woman happy... who needs 71 more?

There is no clear indication in authentic text about how much spouse she should get in paradise. However, one thing is very clear that Paradaise is a place of joy and satisfaction, so she will get that, with which she will be happy. Islam does discriminate bwteen man and woman wrt to reward in paradise. Of course social role in this world will be a different

This is a myth, There is no chapter or verse which says a man will get 72 virgins....What the Quran says is that there will be servants with beautiful wide open eyes...Muslims who say that this is true maybe do not read and understand Arabic...When I say understand I am saying they will read also how Prophet Mohammed(SAW) explained the Quran... some people explain the Quran as they feel and not has it is meant.

Your statement is not quite right In the holy Qur'an God spoke that all humans have the same right to enter heaven after resurrection day and final God's judgementBut it dependes on their good doings and bad doings.If they have more good doings and their bad doings have been forgiven by God so they (men and women) will enter heaven.But God and Muhammad pbuh spoke that most of women (not all) will enter hell because they have a bad habit tellingt the bad acts and behaviours of others including their husbands..They did not thanks to God that they have been given good husbands and convenient and enough livelihoods.Yes all heaven's inhabitants will be served by many virgin and beautiful fairys
as a reward.We muslims believe that good women will enter heaven but not all women and also not all men.But in line with hadith of Muhammad pbuh there are more men than women who enter heaven...Sholehah women is guaranteed by God will have a reward in heaven and they will be served also by virgin fairys.

That is very interesting and I read a while ago in the paper about the female suicide bombers who got caught and what they expected to be there rewards and most had no idea and all had different expectations. Some expected to be the queen of the virgins and others something else.
