I mean, forget about what the bible says for a moment. There are plenty of us who don't believe a word of it, because there is no absolute proof.

What solid evidence do you really have to say ghosts are demons? I mean, there is no solid evidence for or against, but I find it strange and kind of frightening that everything we don't scientifically know about (and even some things we do!) are attributed to demonic activity. Sickness, bacteria, even epilepsy have all been attributed to the Work Of The Devil.

Since you as a christian have never been dead, and have no other proof than what the bible claims, how can you be so certain that what you believe is true? Is it not as likely to be debunked as the flat earth theory was?

I just don't understand why christians are so dogmatic about these things when it's clear that they have no more of an idea than the next guy.

I apologize if my answer comes over as sounding unkind. You already stated that you don't believe a word of the bible so this gives me no option to challenge your non belief. It seems you just want 'proof' and validation for your question from those who think Satan is not a real unseen spirit.
If I am wrong and you truly are seeking solid evidence then you will find the answers that prove his existence.

That is not Biblical that ghosts are demons. When King Saul consulted the witch of Endor she was aghast that the deceased prophet Samuel showed up and spoke to Saul. I believe that in the last chapter of Luke if not one of the resurrection accounts the saints of old walked the streets and it freaked everyone out. This account is also in the Letters of Pontius Pilate. So I don't know who said they were demons but that is obviously not Biblical to say that dogmatically.

There are all sorts of spirits out there in the spiritual realm. When you sleep, your spirit will leave your body at times, and come in contact with these spirits, some of the living some of the dead. To determine whether they are good or bad spirits, is determined by your intuitve sense of what is good. That sense come from God. Pray/meditate, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy diet, and don't over indulge and your connection with God will be made stronger, and your intuition will work better.

I think it's going to be very dificult for you to get a chrisitian to answer you coherently with out eventually getting back to the Bible. And in my opinion it is the place to start. The real work has got to start with understanding that you don't take it as an authority and explaining to you why it can and should be. Email me if you'd like that explanation. There's not enough room here.

Ghost are definitely not daemons. Ghost are dead people who mostly visit their loved ones and they like especially to visit little children. Many times when you see little children playing with imaginary friends they are really playing with ghost. Ghost are harmless creatures they just like to be friendly. There is no such thing as demons. That are just something made up by religious nuts.

Wait, so you don't believe in Jesus, but you believe in ghosts?

Both have no proof. But, yet people accept a thing called "faith."

Personally, I trust science, and science actively refutes both.

One thing science teaches us is the limits to natural phenomena. Our enlightenment has made us more aware of what happens around us... which has made it more definite when we go to pick out what is out of the ordinary.

This made sense in my mind, before I typed it out... I need to go to bed soon so I can make sense tomorrow.

Well, I don't see how ghosts could exist if you take religion out of the picture. It is superstitous mumbo jumbo from every aspect if you ask me. I'm not saying they don't exist, I'm just saying it's not common knowledge that they do. Don't you think that is odd? ;-)

no one knows for sure so why speculate? i mean until there's scientific proof, why not just chalk it up to one of life's great mysteries? oh i forgot, people are scared of what they don't understand so they hafta explain everything to make themselves feel better even if it's totally outlandish.
