I am lost and confuse, um... if i have 300 pictures and each is 1.9 meg i want to know how long does it take to load do i just multiple them together.... if i was to use a COM1 how about in a USB what am i suppose to do? i am totally confuse..any hints??

it really depends on your camera. Some cameras will use the older USB technology to transfer pictures to your computer.

Some cameras use the newer USB 2.0 technology to transfer images to your computer. This one is much faster.

If your camera uses the older USB 1.0 technology, you can still transfer images quickly to your computer if that's what you need. Buy a card reader with USB 2.0 technology. Next, place the card reader in your USB port, then put the card from your camera into the card reader. You'll get a fast transfer of images (using Explorer if you want or other software).

You transfer using USB. With USB2 they wizz from the camera/card reader to the computer. I recently downloaded nearly 200 pics taken with a 6meg camera in about 5 minutes.

CPU speed , hard drive RPM, computer memory, memory read & write speed, file size of photo & USB 1.0 or 2.0 all will affect the transfer speed of photos
Click Start - Run- now type in msconfig, next click startup then un-checkmark the extra memory robbing junk / programs running.
