It can mean many things. Things change with the times is one. You can read what you want in such a saying. For example, some will view it as a sign of society getting worse. Others will see it as things becoming more open.

It all depends on your view. But remember, when looking at a new idea .....

"The mind works like a parachute, only when open."

In the 50's women were thought to be healthier at around 150 lb . Therefore she was taking care of her body and acting with good morals . The it came to be that 120 was thought better . Then 110 . and now we are back to 125 . It is based on the available science . A woman who had sex outside of marraige might have been considered immoral in the 1920's because of problems with pregnacy and disease . Now it is immoral for a woman not to use safe sex practices because condoms , BC pills , etc are very reliable ,and pre maritial sex has no great problems if they are used . Biblical bans on pork and scallops were based on the science of that period . Now those reasons are no longer with us . Older religious bans on homosexuality were based on scientific observations of those times that thought if people were too different from the majority there was something (evil) wrong with them . Now we know that society can exist while allowing homosexuality . There are lots and lots of other "common sense " examples .

Are you talking about how lawyers have maligned our society ? The judicial system through it's dominant lawyer culture has taken us away from the true foundation, creating a new foundation in negatives, politics, dishonesty, character assassination, fraud and deception.
Lawyers have turned our nation into a system of massive litigation for financial and political business opportunity and gain. Insult to economic injury is immediately added by their presence. Trickery and mischief which can be placed at the doorstep of the lawyer culture have cost American taxpayers billions of dollars.
We can ill afford to allow yesterday's immorality to become today's morality in such a vital part of our lives and watch it ripple out into society.
I hold heartedly agree.

I agree. I mean, look at the females of The 1800's and the early 1900's. They were "immoral" if they wore short dresses or any clothing that showed skin. They could not wear pants, those were stricly for the males.
Now days, females can wear pants, t-shirts, and mini skirts without being called "imorral"
