The universe became no longer constantly right here, and this could no longer be the only universe. "Our" universe is the only that all of us be responsive to, and it became created someplace between 15-17 billion years in the past. maximum scientists call the even the great Bang. Our sunlight is approximately 5.6-6 billion years previous and has approximately yet another 5-6 billion in the past it is going into its crimson massive section. which will rather be the tip of our photograph voltaic equipment, or a minimum of earth. The universe is likewise no longer countless yet is often increasing on the fee of sunshine. appropriate now it sounds as though as though the universe is going to proceed to enhance, meaning that finally photograph voltaic structures and galaxies would be pulled aside and each little thing will freeze. the different thought is that according to threat gravity will develop into extra advantageous than the tension inflicting the universe to enhance and pull each and every thing back mutually interior the "massive Crunch." they have extraordinary names for those products. the two way the destiny for the universe looks bleak. those are issues that maximum cosmologist have agreed upon, so that's from a in undemanding terms scientific point of view. i'm no longer asserting that god would not exist, yet he's what each and each guy or woman makes of him.

It's possible that God created evolution. In fact, that is the way I think of it. The Bible is a complex mix of metaphor and fact. It was written a long time ago. The people of the Biblical age, most likely, would not have understood the concept of evolution, so the Bible is written in terms that they could understand. These are questions that we can never know for certain; only speculate.

Science has explained so much of our universe that it really is not necessary to include a god in any theory.

History has shown us that all questions have answers. Some are easily found, others are not. However, it's logical to assume that as our knowledge of the universe grows, more and more questions will be answered.

I have faith in the human intelligence.

It is a remote possibility . BUT then you have to realize that either god is weak and let it all get so out of control as to cause great pain and misery on Earth from things like floods and hurricanes and volcanos etc . that trillions of innocent babies , animals, children, etc. suffered ... or god just no longer cares , or that god is a sadist , or god is dead .

Yep. I agree. I don't discount the possibility of a Deist God who put the world into motion and left it alone. I believe in abiogenesis, though, so I believe that if such a God exists, he would have to have created the circumstances -for- abiogenesis, and not the first cell itself.

Isn't that a little sacrilegious, disclaiming the bible to explain the existence of god?

You're still left with an entity who must be exempt from his own rules. Though I readily acknowledge there are many theists all too willing to embrace that "explanation," rational or not.

I think you have to back up a bit more than that. If there is a God, He started with nucleosynthesis at a time when all was quark soup.

Well if your gonna believe in a god that sounds a lot more rational than a magical garden and a talking snake doesn't it?

key word *what if* = faith not facts
It would also sound probable to say aliens created the cell, yet I would embrace the fact that I do not know rather than assuming I know.
