Who reads the readings at a Catholic Mass? Do I need to have a friend read, or does the priest? Who is responsible for the following:
-The First and Second Reading
-The Responsorial Psalm
-Gospel Acclamation
-The Gospel
-The Homily
Also, does the Catholic church have any "laws" on wedding dress colors? My dress is being custom made and will be mostly pale pink with white lace overlay. The color looks great with my coloring so I am very excited. I know the veil is a symbol of virginity and NOT the dress, but does the dress have to be white? My veil is white and has a blusher. I need to know ASAP to I can switch my dress over to pure white if need be.

For the record, yes, I actually am a virgin, so I can "officially" wear white.

you can ask a friend and/or family member to read the readings (i believe there's only the 1st reading), and psalm. the gospel & homily are usually done by the priest, the gospel acclamation's reserved for the commentator i guess.
i dont see any problem with that color, wether its revealing is the problem! good luck & best wishes!

The first and second readings should be proclaimed by two different friends or relatives, hopefully ones who are Catholic can read well. Make sure they have the reading well in advance for practice.
Hopefully you will have an experienced cantor (a professional singer) who can lead the Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation and several other places in the Mass that should be sung.
The Gospel and Homily have to be done by the bishop, priest, or deacon.
Your parish should have a marriage coordinator who can answer all your questions and give you good suggestions.
With love in Christ.

The priest (or deacon) reads the Gospel. The Responsorial Psalm and the Gospel Acclamation should be sung, by a cantor, the music people or everyone. The First and Second Readings are usually read by a member of the community, preferable confirmed, but for a wedding, a member of the wedding party who is a competent reader is probably fine.
Liturgical colors only apply to the ordained ministers, not the bride. Any tasteful dress is fine.

I would say...it does not matter what color your dress is, in the catholic church that's not what it's about, it's a sacrament, an oath to God and to your soon to be husband. As to the readings and what not...you can work that out with the church, if you have a friend that is involved in the church I see no reason why that person couldn't read for you. Other wise I'm sure the church has someone on hand to help with that, at least ours does. If you are having a choir they can do the responsorial psalm, The Father would do the Gospel and the Homily as well as the opening and closing prayers

A reader has to be trained, so unless you have a friend or relative who is a trained reader, you need to ask the priest to find one for you among the parish.
The reader will handle the first and second reading and the psalm, and possibly the Gospel Acclamation.
Only a priest is allowed to read the Gospel and only a priest is allowed to deliver the Homily, but it can be two different priests.
I know of no ordinance regarding the color of the wedding dress.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

As long as your shoulders and bosom are covered and the skirt is a modest length, you can wear any dress you like.
The Gospel acclamation is generally sung by the cantor. ONLY the priest/deacon can read the Gospel and give the homily.
The readings and the petitions are the people you need to find. They should be baptised.
Are you Catholic? A Catholic would know these things, and if you aren't the priest should have pointed you to the parish peson who can help you coordinate these things.

just do what the priest says you to do with the readings but the gospel is always read by the priest.
i dont think there is any law but its a tradition & why do you want to change it , when you say you are a real virgin then i would prefer you to wear white, just let the tradition go on.
