I think they all lie and entrap, because they can. Remember, good cops can have bad days too!

Many times officers are put in certain areas of town because of problems with drunk drivers. Where I worked, we received money from other agencies to try and help cut down on speeders and to get more patrol in certain parts of town where the crime rate is higher. It was amazing how it did help, once word got out what was happening.
It's all part of the job and most of the time, they stop just about everyone to make sure no one slips through. Don't take it personally, someday they may just save your life or a family members life from another driver out there who has been drinking. Only thing is, you will never know about it since you probably won't be there when they make the arrest.

Well, would you rather have police road checks or be killed by a drunk driver? You may not be drinking and driving ever, but tons of other people do it...
And getting a DUI really can stop someone from ever driving drunk again. I got a DUI in June, and it's kinda ironic because when I got it, I was stoned and not driving, just sitting in the car. But I had my license suspended for 5 months and now I still cant drive. Before that I use to drive drunk fairly regularly. If I were out drinking I'd stop a few drinks before I do when I dont have the car, then drive home. There was one time in particular where I was too drunk to walk, stumbling down the street, leaning on my car to get to the door, and I got in and drove away. STUPID! But I was so hammered I did it anyways. Now I look back and I've realized how dangerous that was and I know when I get my license back, I'll walk or bus or call my parents to come get me if I am impared.
DUIs really do cut down on drunk driving, and one of the ways they catch a lot of drunk drivers is through road blocks. Maybe there is something about your actions or the way you look that makes you seem drunk? Also, if you show them attitude and are rude to them, they are much more likely to do what they can to get back at you.
I think cops lie WAY too much, and entrapment is their best power against people sometimes. I may sound like I like the police from what I've said, but infact I HATE them! A cop beat my friend to death and got away with it because a different police force investigated him and lied saying there was insufficent proof (with several eye witnesses and a dead body).
I think police departments should really move their cops from area to area every few years, so they dont get so bored... I find cops who want excitement on the job are rude and try to prevoke you whereas the ones in high crime areas are polite and dismiss small things. I honestly much prefer dealing with cops in the ghetto than I do with cops in my hometown (middle upperclass)...
I think a lot of the time entrapment is also just from laziness, they think if they get you to say "fine i've had a drink......" then they can skip straight to the breathlyzer...
I've found being polite, respectful, honest (or at least make them think so) makes the whole experience a lot less painful. And they will work with you instead of against you (sounds cheesy but its true)... When I got my DUI, I was very polite and respectful, and I knew he knew I'd smoked weed when he asked, so I honestly told him, yes I have. Rather than towing my car he had someone pick it up for me, he didn't write me a ticket (coulda fined me over $600) and didn't arrest me. He had the people who picked the car up drive me home too.

If you feel you are being unfairly targeted or harassed by the police, go to the police department and speak with his/her supervisor. Police Departments are no different than any other organization. They have some good employees and some bad employees. Most police departments have a civilian revue board to hear and deal with complaints. My last comment would be that you seem to be upset because you are unfairly being stereo typed as a DUI, when you do not drink, but you are quick to stereo type all police officers as liars.

you have to understand where they are coming from. look in the mirror and see yourself from their perspective. shop at a different store. it is not true that all police lie and entrap where some probably do. you can't make a generalization statement on an entire group because of the minority that do something wrong. first of all they are human, their adrenaline gets to pumping the same as anyone else's. you dont' know what kind of calls they have just received that could include the make and model of the car you are driving. you said several times, i assume this would be more than 3 or 4 occasions? has it been at the same store? if so, you need to find somewhere else to shop or figure out what neighbor is calling them everytime you leave and giving them your license plate number and general direction you were heading. try to be friendly and smile and talk with them instead of getting so mad you want to send them a bill for your time.

Awhile back we bought a house, me and my wife. I had at the time a 91 mustang because its what we could afford. This in turn put me on a new route to work each night. I either work the 4pm till mid or mid till 8 am. Thus I traved every night around midnight in either direction. I was only ever pulled over twice. Both time to me seemed like crap and then second time cause me to blow some steam towards the officer. Though I keep my cool about it all, I was showing signs of being really ticked the ;ljk off about it. This does not even count for the many times I had officers following me down the street. I had never in my life felt profiled before until we got this house.
To this day I still think about it, though we have a mini van that has replaced the 91 mustang clunker. ( got me to work each time and back, thank GOD)
One thing I did do is call the police department. I just wanted to inform them that it was bothering me. I asked to them to put me in the system so that they could easly pull me up if needed ie if they had been following me or if they happen to run my plates from afar. This would help the many officers in that area know that I the 91 mustang clunker was a good guy.
In time the following ended and we sold the mustang.
You have two choices to make now, either be pisted off that you have been pulled over, or thank GOD your vehicle still works. You never know when you might need to make a call because somebody has a gun pointed to your chest. Then when the officers bust in, one is shut fatally. Traded his life to save yours, know they will each and every time do this.
Many times I have seen police show up for either myself or a company because of an alarm. With in a few mins Garland Texas police officers had El chico's surrounded because a back door alarm. I was waiting on a table at the window when I looked up.
To know that a police officer dies each day trying to serve us the public would require just a bit more respect.
TY officers of the law,

Get pulled over for not using your blinker, end up getting a tinted windows ticket, Ya its chicken ****. they just really want to be right all the time.

Nothing about your story says entrapment. Please do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with the proper definition.
With 3 units waiting for you, and it happening on more than one occasion, I imagine you live a small town with nothing much else going on. Ask a police supervisor in your city what they are doing. They will get a talking to if what they are doing is illegal, count on it.

Have you thought of the possibility that you might be a crappy driver that makes them believe you might have been intoxicated....lol...Or it could be that someone called in on you for being a possible drunk driver..ever thought of that. People have been known to call something like that in just to harass others and its known to happen when people drive bad while talking on cell phones.

Why should he have to find somewhere else to shop???? What a ridiculous way to handle the situation in a supposed free country.
If it keeps happening (or if it has happend multiple times) get a lawyer and charge them with harrassment.
Citizens should NOT have to put up with harrassment!!!!
WE THE PEOPLE....anyone else remember that????
