The guy who made this video is wrong because the Laws contained within the Old Testament of the Bible were intended for Israel (Jews) - not Christians. If this guy would have read the Bible himself, he would of seen that Christians are not obligated to keep the 10 Commandments. Jesus anulled the Laws of the Old Testament upon His death. The Sabbath Day is the 7th day of the week here, Saturday ... not Sunday, and is still observed by the Jews. He is presumptuous in claiming that Christians support the 10 Commandments of the Old Testament. Don't be conned by this guy's dogmatic stance. He is wrong because Christians live by the spirit of the law ... not the letter. Think about it ... for example: "Thou shalt not kill" ... what's wrong with that, you may ask? Under Old Testament Law, you could beat the snot out of someone but not kill him. The Law was given for a temporary Covenant or contract to the Jews. Christians today, abide by the spirit of the law, which is LOVE for God and mankind [neighbour]. This guy should practice what he preaches concerning reading the Bible. Don't be sucked-in to this guy's tune !

It is rather difficult to understand how a kind, loving, thoughtful, and even just semi- intelligent person could still buy into this rubbish. It is repulsive and it won't last. The bible god will one day join all of the Greek gods of yesteryear. The sooner, the better.

Addition:

Give me a break som. If this was not as plain and simple as it gets what is? I don't need a freaking' Rabbi to give me an 'unbiased' opinion on the meaning of anything I saw. If this book is that vague, that is just another good reason to disregard anything in it.

From the start I could see that such a person has not studied the Scriptures. What I mean is he can quote and find passages, but that is not really studying the Scriptures. If he were to study the history of the Jewish people, their language and symantecs, idioms, etc. etc. then he might has some understanding. He has not even bothered to ask a Rabbi what it means. He would just rather complain and point out what SEEMS contradictory to him and leave it at that. If he questions this, then where is the proof of his study? Has he not tried to resolve his own questions? Obviously he has not since all he presents is objections and no more.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May the light of His face shine upon you.

I have ADD tonight, apparently. I couldn't watch the whole thing, lol. I got to the part about Christian book stores being open on the Sabbath. That made me chuckle. I will bookmark it to watch later. Thanks!

There is a hidden teaching that passes orally. It has to do with the light and energy of creation and the male and female creative aspect of the inner spirit.

To begin to understand these deep scriptural teachings that seem repulsive you must be lead to a teacher who can pass on the oral tradition.

Not to say that during the time these passages were written that slavery did not exist or women were not subserviant, but there is a huge amount of allegory in the bible and the things that this video references is almost exclusivly allegory as it relates to todays society and social norms.

Most have not heard. Most do not seek it. But it exist.

(am I gonna get alot of love on this one... am I?)

Blessings and peace to all,
All in all,
B

Didn't tell me anything I didn't know already, but it's a great educational tool for Christians.
