cadisneygirl76: Oh, yes, if you check around, and read my questions and answers, you'll find I've been here quite a while. And you'll also find that atheists are less motivated to make everyone atheists, and more motivated to ensure that people have critical thinking skills to evaluate all claims of religion, politicians, and advertisers, including our own.

It would be very hard for us to elimate religious diversity since we're a pretty diverse group ourselves. Under the Christian umbrella, there are so many denominations it makes your head spin. Take a Catholic, a Jehovah's Witness, A Southern Baptist, and a Lutheran into a room, there's going to be some differences of opinion, to put it lightly. And even in the same denomination, you have Christians who are very radical when it comes to the bible and you have some people who are fundamentalist when it comes to the bible.
The bible does tell people to spread forth the message. I don't think that's so strange. But we're also told to treat others how we want to be treated. If I go into a store and a salesman offers to show me something I don't care to see, I'd appreciate it if the salesman respects my wishes and continues to treat me with respect. I don't like it if they follow me around, hound me, disrepect me or use fear tactics to force me to buy a tv. I try to express my faith by my actions and I have no problem discussing my beliefs. But I don't believe a person should choose a faith based on me bugging them.
As far as Ann Coulter & Pat Robertson go, they don't speak for all Christians. They can't. Too much diversity within Christianity. Thank God. Personally, I think Ann Coulter just says really obnoxious, cruel, and extremely wrong things just to get attention. And when it comes to Pat Robertson, I have an extreme distrust of televangelists. But I can only speak for myself.
I also think there's a bit of human nature in trying to persuade people to believe what we believe. Not just in religion, but things incredibly trivial. I've watched fights erupt over television shows, sugar vs. splenda, music genres, star wars prequels, china patterns, etc. As humans, we're not very good at tolerating differences of beliefs.

All religions do this- stop picking on Christians. To be honest, i've never had a Christian come up to me and try converting me. I don't look any different from an Atheist, do i? I am a Christian but i still look like a normal human, so where are the people asking if I am Christian? Atheists also try converting everyone. So do Muslims and Jews. It's the way of religion and non-religion. Be happy we don't spread Christianity by the sword.

Of course not. I very much accept diversity, and am glad for it. Not everyone on the planet has to share my beliefs and opinions. I explain Evangelicals, Robertson and Coulter by saying that not everybody in my religion has to think like I do. I strongly disagree with them all, but they have the right to believe as they wish.

According to the Word of God, there is no such thing as "religious diversity". You either accept His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior or you don't. It is that simple. "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but the same God who works all in all" (1 Corinthians 12:4-6).
The apostle Paul spent considerable effort to get this simple point across. He continues in verse 12: "For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ."
The Bible plainly teaches, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). But it is very encouraging when you understand the hope it brings to all of humanity. Those who have suffered from their own sins in ignorance, and those who have been innocent victims of war, oppression and genocide will be resurrected to understand the Bible—the Book of Life. They will have their first true opportunity to understand God’s love for all humanity. In the White Throne Judgment, billions of human beings who were previously spiritually blinded will finally learn from the pain of the past, and they will be given the opportunity to truly repent, believe the gospel and eventually inherit the Kingdom of God. God is a God of absolute justice and absolute love. He will give everyone the opportunity for salvation in His time and in His way. The Devil has deceived the whole world and has blinded the vast majority of human beings on earth today. But God has a plan of salvation, even for the wicked sinners of Sodom. They will have learned an excruciatingly painful lesson and will have their chance in the future White Throne Judgment.

Why would atheists bother; they don't believe that all unbelievers are going to hell.
But Christians know that hell exists and we do not want people to go there. Why can you not comprehend that? If someone next to you was unknowingly gonna drink poison, would you warn them or keep your mouth shut?
Would you expect to have to explain to everyone why you warned them in the first place?

I cannot convert anyone. Only God can change a heart. Since I believe the claims of Christ that He is the only way to God, how can I keep that good news to myself? That Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost...us?
My concern is people's souls. Without Christ, they will be lost. Diversity? What is so great about that? When it comes to salvation, diversity is not useful.

We are not trying to convert any one, our purpose is to pierce the darkness with the light of the gosple of Jesus Christ. Jesus said if I be lifted up I will draw all man unto Myself. There are many lost sheep out there that have to be found before God proceeds with His chosen people again. Jesus said My sheep know Me they hear My voice & follow Me. So if you are a goat get out of the way & let us proceed with the job We have been commanded to do by our Lord & God Jesus Christ. Amen!!!!!!!!

Was Jesus (pbuh) sent only for the Jews i.e. lost sheep of Israel?
Is Bible Racist?
Mathew 10:5-6 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mathew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs (non-jews).
