It has become a thing which seems to be the exception, rather than the rule. I don't know how we've allowed a country founded on Christian principles to become a country of nonbelievers.
I can only raise my children to believe, practice my faith and pray that God will deliver this country from the condition it is in.

I will never be ashamed to profess my Lord! I would be horrified not to be able to. Yes, secular society looks down on Christianity, but I do not wish to be lumped in with the secularists. Christians should want to shout from the rooftops about what Christ has done for them! The USA is a place where we are experiencing a moral decline and therefore those that can be made to feel shame should reassess their Christian attitude.

Yes - mostly because Christians don't mean business with God, cause if they did, they would unite even if it killed them!!! This lack of oneness has kept believers from having the influence and power that they should have. Look how many believers there are! If we can't unite on everything, let's unite on the things we DO agree on.

The flesh sees the things of God as foolish. This is built into the mix by God. It doesn't matter what you say, it is what it is. In other words, as the people become more and more useless to God...as shown by the sign of homosexuality on the increase... the collective mind of the public can only see believers as foolish. They are carnal and cannot fathom what is going on. This proves their damnation. Problem is, it also means persecution for the believer ...unless you unite. But if you couldn't unite for the last 2000 years, what is going to make it happen now?

There is some kind of movement and I don't know where it started but I do know that today's kids are really sad. Gangs, drugs, little girls dressing like hookers, foul language and lack of repect for others and selfishness. I think its shameful that these kids don't have anything to believe in. I saw a segment on t.v. where they interviewed kids about being patriotic. Most of the kids didn't know what that meant. They also said that they don't owe their country anything, their country owes them.

I don't care if they don't want to be a Christian, but I do care when they protest against Christians and make a mockery of others' beliefs.

Many people who pride themselves on the word Christian act in shamful ways in the public eye. How should we see that?

Most Christians are normal people and have nothing much to be shamed of.

Yet, the greedy people make it look bad.

Shameful ; Not for a Second ! Check out CCs` answer ! He claims to be an atheist that doesn`t believe in God ? So what standard does an atheist determine "good" from "bad" in "behaving badly" if you don`t accept the Godly Standard which is the determining factor in defining Right & Wrong ? Remember atheist , you believe in nothing , everything goes , there are no rules to disobey !

I am not sure from which angle you are coming from here, but I will take it this way : Maybe this is Gods way of seperating the sheep from the goats or the wheat from the tare ?? Any man , woman or child who will turn in shame from the Lord was not or is not His child.... A Child of God KNOWS that satan KNOWS there is little time for him to gather the souls he is after, therefore, he is working over time in this world...To some it has become shameful to others , like me, it makes me stronger of Faith, and more determined than ever to stand IN and ON the WORD !! People on here and out there can all laugh, ridicule, mock, call names as if they were children, etc., but NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING will ever make me ashamed to call out HIS PRECIOUS NAME !!!!!!! JESUS !!!!!!! go in peace...... God bless

Christianity is divided up into factions and fractions of factions.
I am an Evangelical Christian: I believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit such as healing are for evangelization. Many mainstream Christians in conservative denominations do not even operate in such miracles.
I am not a fundamentalist, a utopian or an "end of the worlder."

He said it wouldn't be easy. Remember, you have the comfort he gives, not them. You have a guide, not them. You have something to look forward to, not them. You are an example, like the early Christians who were fed to the lions. Do not let them bend or break you into feeling the despair that they do.

Not if you can think while you're being an American Christian. (Although I've encountered two or three on Y!A,) I've only actually met one person in my entire life who can manage that, and I'm marrying her. So, good luck. I'm rooting for you.
