My doctor says my anti-thyroid antibodies are elevated. I do not know what the anti-thyroid antibodies are called. As far as I can tell by the research I have found on the internet, anti-thyroid antibodies are associated with Hashimotos/hypothyroidism. I thought that hypothyoidism would make my heart rate slow. Also, does anyone know what the anti-thyroid anitbody is called? My doctor says that the normal limit is 35.0, my level was over 1,000.

I think he's referring to Graves disease an auto immune disorder where the antibodies attack the thyroid stimulating it to over produce causing hyper thyroid and hence tachycardia.
