Describe the seasons in Italy. Which months are warm/cool?

As a rule warmer season goes from middle July till early August. Colder period is generally from early December till early February. In March / April as well as in Oct. / November we have the major possibility of rains. However you know that at a long distance weather is always unpredictable; also in these last years we have had in Italy very big variations if compared to the past climate. It's also to be added that in the past generally the North of Italy has always had lower temperatures than the Southside either in summer or winter. In these last years we have had ,very often, the opposite situation....!!
