Hopefully they think they are making the world a better place. That's why I try to convert people to atheism. I believe this country would be better (politicians would not ban HPV-curing vaccines. They wouldn't worry about pre-marital sex because it is a sin, not a law.) I also believe the the science would be more respected when we finally agreed (with the rest of the world minus Turkey) that evolution happened.
Maybe they think if more people were Christian abortion would be illegal. (And they're probably right. The Bible discourages thinking, and if we were all Christian we would allow the Bible to do our thinking for us, and abortion would be illegal. Therefore, there would be more crime. It is a proven fact that years after an increase in abortion in a certain area, the crime rate decreases.)

According to Christian doctrine, Christians are directed by Jesus to go out and teach everybody about Christianity. Their scriptures in Matthew 28:19 say "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
That's their scriptural basis. Why this one thing should be so all-consuming baffles me; they aren't promised a reward, at least not that I was ever taught when I went to church. They are told to do a LOT of things, but this one seems to get the most attention, by far. Whether it's for money, or simply to be able to convince someone "THEY" are right and "YOU" are wrong, I can only speculate. Certainly it's one of the reasons that I left Christianity and converted to Judaism; I couldn't stomach the whole notion that "we're the only ones who are right."

the rationalization why human beings convert from Christianity is possibly because of the fact the three abrahamic religions (Judaism,Christianity, and Islam) all have comparable memories of their bases, for one. additionally a superb variety of people do not basically like the assumption of the Trinity that convert the two. the rationalization why I gave up Christianity for Islam is with the aid of the fact whilst doing my very very own examine, i found out bearing directly to the Trinity which no one had ever informed me approximately until eventually now explicitly so I hadn't relatively understood, for this reason did not have self assurance it my total existence besides. i stumbled on my thought approximately Jesus grow to be meditated greater acceptable in Islam, that he's crucial messenger of God (whom we appreciate very plenty!) yet he isn't God. I used to think of comparable to you until eventually now i stumbled on yet another faith... like how are you able to transform? yet its straightforward. Its basically you relatively convert because of the fact which you have self assurance it. additionally, because of the fact a woman is caucasian would not recommend she for sure wasn't born Muslim. Islam has been accepting of all races because of the fact that's beginning up.. so that's notably distinctive. The mosque i pass to has Caucasians (like myself), African individuals, Indians, human beings from the worldwide places interior the Arabian peninsula (theres a superb variety of worldwide places there!) and others too. genuinely, what paulcyp stated is faulty. Muslim adult adult males are allowed to marry Christians and Jews. they don't might desire to transform. If a woman converts its because of the fact she chooses to. the guy isnt allowed to tension her

Sometimes it's a genuine reason. Though often people have been guilt tripped into sharing their faith, being told that it is their fault if their neighbors or friends go to hell, and being told that those same people will point accusatory fingers at them saying, "Why didn't you tell me?"
I find that quite despicable. It's a sad abuse on the christian actually.

Christians are desperate for people to be 'converted' because they know what will happen if they dont, there are no incentives besides helping other people discover what life is all about!

They're slaves to the system. The system must have the balance of power and to keep it, they must be out there selling their religion. If Christians lose the balance of power, Christianity will fall like a house of cards.

Christians want to convert people. I don't know what Christians those are. Since the Christians I know don't want to convert people. There must be something wrong with those Christians your talking about since they want to convert people. Christians are too busy to convert people.

Jesus says to be fishers of men...
Some Christians just can't take the rejection when the fish don't bite, so they jump in after them.
Luckily, the fish swim faster than they do...

In Daniel it talks about a stone being cut from a mountain and slowly rolling forth across the world.
It's analogy for saying the church needs to be spread across the world.
If you knew that there would be a nuke hitting your family's house, would you only save yourself?
