We talked about God's character. In Mark 5:25 it talks about the women with the issue of blood. She had heard about Jesus and believed he was true to his character. When she touched him she expected healing and she received it. That is how we are supposed to be. We're supposed to know the character of God; that he is true and that we can expect blessing from him and receive it. Pastor went on to talk to us about our own character and how when Jesus was touched by the women, he didn't know who it was who touched him, only that he was touched and power went out of him. If we profess to be Christian then people are going to look at us harder than usual and judge us. We need to develop a character like Christ if we are to be effective witnesses. Our character development starts at home. Be a Christian at home when no one is watching and it will spill over into your everyday lives where people are watching.

Yes, we did.
Tonight was about doing things that you do not want to do, but doing them because its the right thing to do.
Case in point, the prophet Jeremiah, he really hated having to say the things that needed to be said to his ownfamily and people. He even asked God to let him quit.
But through it all, He continued on , not because he liked what he was doing, but because he had to do the right thing.
We do not always like telling the truth, about others and evenmore so about ourselves, but it needs to be done, to keep us accoutable to God and ourselves.
Yes, the kids went harvest treating. In our little town, it was moved to last saturday night, so that all could have a chance to enjoy the night of fellowship around town.

There's this volleyball group that gets together just for fun on Wednesday nights. We signed up for fun through local junior college. It's been awhile since I went for that reason, but the last time I went, I vaguely remember it being mentioned how we should not take advice from ungodly people, and that if we hang out with the wrong group of people, we would do things we normally would not do.

Yeah did one the other night. It was full on, we are going through what it is to have a Holy Fear of God, (Filial Fear or reverential Fear).
We looked at what this Fear looks like and next week we are looking at it in light of the Majesty of God.
It was just awesome, nothing like a practical outworking of what you are learning and nothing like studying Attributes of God or Mans response

Well, it's Wednesday night, and Halloween, so there wasn't "regular" church tonight, but our church did have a "Praise Night" at a local pizza place. We ate pizza, the kids played games, and we had great fellowship!
