Those who believe in nothing now, will believe everything later.
They are lost forever and ever.
Athiest we are in awe of your insightuflness, your vision, your eloquence. You fairly judge all issues without regard to party or personal allegiance and your compassion and desire to listen and weigh all sides of an issue is an inspiration. A paragon, nearly a saint!

Thanks, Pierce, I appreciate the compliment, but it's not always deserved on our side. We've got a lot of angsty young men who simply want to strike out at the religion of their parents.

Actually, I believe in karma, social responsibility and most of nature. The latter is quite long to get into, so I rather not get into it. I don't judge all people based on their faith. I judge based on their actions. I am depressed, but I think I know where I'm at in life. Next.

there's 2 types of Atheism, as there is in Agnosticism:

Casual: just say there isn't a god.
Philosophical: tries to prove there is not a god.

as for Agnosticism:

casual: doesn't know if there is a god or not, doesn't care (that's me)

philosophical: tries to prove both sides right or find an agreement between the two.

I'm an atheist by definition and i've spent most of my life honestly seeking the truth but I really don't know what you are trying to say ...sorry. May be if you were less poetic i'm guessing I might agree to some of it.

I'm not lost. I know exactly where I am.

I believe in many things but eternal, invisible creators, "loving" gods that wipe out entire populations, and chartreuse pigs with wings are not among them.

Who says Atheists believe in nothing?

I believe in a lot of things - love, justice, liberty, humanity, charity. I just don't believe in God. That's what Atheism means - lacking belief in God.

Nah, only a machine can be a true atheist. I reject all religion and don't believe in ghosts, eternal souls etc, but I still have my superstitions and I can't help but see omens.

No, sorry... I guess I don't qualify as a "true Atheist" because I do not believe in nothing.

In my hubris, I believe in such concepts as humanism, ethics, science and goodwill towards mankind.

I don't think anyone believes in nothing. I just don't believe in the supernatural.
