I thought it might be easier to find one the day after Halloween for next year...

The cheap ones sold in Halloween stores are cheap around $35.00 but those are probably sold out. Here is one but it is not cheap http://www.abaxion.com/orobe.htm and another one I personally like http://renstore.com/itemMatrix.asp?ic=ACY%2DLNG%2DBLK&eq=&MatrixType=2

I made my robe very cheap I used $1.00 yard material and it cost me about $9.00 to make. I used a simple pattern I got out of Raymond Buckland's Complete Book of Witchraft. It is not really a monk robe but has a hood and looks really sharp.

If you do a search for Druid robe you'll get lots of hits. If you want a quality robe, I'd go that route. Otherwise check out the local discount stores for something that would definitely qualify.

Yes, I've known a couple of priests that were very spiritual (one passed away several years ago; I knew him ever since I was a kid-- he was very devout). Some of the younger ones I know though are still spiritual and dedicated to their work though not to the degree of those couple that I met. I have not really gotten to know any nuns or monks. Where I live there really aren't any of those nearby.
