You can just put a turbo on to a car. But will it preform correctly. Every time you increase volume with boost you also must shoot in more fuel. Have you a new engine fuel management system? Is the engine brand new built for turbo boost with stronger internals lower compression? And most of all does a ten year old car warrant so much money being spent on it. (Turbo) and (reliable) and (cheep) should never be used in the same sentence. You will find out you could have bought a 350Z by the time you finished your front wheel drive 200sx

Well, for one. Turbos can't be considered in terms of reliability. They more or less can be determined in "how long it'll last depends on how I drive my car." It would be cheaper to build your own kit from scratch. Garrett blowers would be the way to go, a mid-size intercooler, maybe with 4 in. piping, and you'll need an ECU and all that fun stuff.

Ebay, junkyard. And if you don't do your research and tune it correctly, you will be SOL.
