Platonic love in its modern popular sense is a non-sexual affectionate relationship, especially in cases where one might easily assume otherwise.[citation needed] A simple example of platonic relationships is a deep, non-sexual (overtly romantic) friendship, not subject to gender pairings and not excluding close relatives.

Yes. You have feel deep love for someone and not sleep with them. Nothing kills a great thing faster or more permanently than sex.

Platonic friendship is friendship that reciprocates equally what a friend has done. Platonic love is like friendship, only that it involves a relationship/relation between two people. Platonic love and platonic friendship could therefore be one in the same. Romantic love in the other hand, involves a little bit of physical wanting which can possibly lead to sexual wanting. In most cases, platonic love will be different to romantic love since platonic love does not involve any sexual wanting and therefore may most likely not be stronger than romantic love.

I have alot of those relationships.
My longest term friendship is with a man who I love as a brother. (I am a woman.)
All of my female relationships are platonic.
