Life is a school. You are here to learn from the life you create.
You are here to become masters of the Love God gives you and defeat the temptations that arise in your errors.

That kind of question is not afforded to the other living creatures that exist on this planet earth. So those creatures must suffer and kill or be killed for survival in the wild and that is normal for them..
In the realm of man, he too must suffer and struggle for survival like all the other living creatures. And he has come a long way from doing so. But unlike the other creatures on earth he has been able to advance technologically and materially and intellectually in understanding the earth and increase his ability to survive comfortable on this earth.
From this short historical perspective we see more and more that man must choose to suffer and struggle more so than any other creature alive. For he has shown the ability to minimize both if he chooses to do so.
The conclusion then is that each one of us makes a conscious choice pf what kind of attitude we have during our time of pain and suffering. Do we see it is a time to make the lives of people around us, even in our suffering and pain? This is what man has done collectively throughout history as a species. Or do we exist on the level of animals and think only of ourselves.
I say were were born on this earth to suffer and struggle as human beings and make life better for each other; as was been taught by those before us.

No! First let me say God is not punishing you nor did he place you here to suffer! People are influenced by the evil one "Satan" and they behave in the same manner that he does. James 4:8 tells us God is Love and he would never put us through pain intentionally or unintentionally because he's not like that. We are all sinners and make mistakes and unfortunately people do cruel things, but reach out to Jehovah God and pray to him! Ask him to give you strength to cope with your situation. Also speak with anyone of the witnesses and they will help you to cultivate a relationship with him. I honestly hope you don't give up on your life, life is too precious and it's a gift one that should not be taken away so casually.

Isn't it strange; we feel as though we're suffering at the moment and then we find a picture or anything that sparks a memory, good or bad. And we realize that we weren't suffering at all, but we were actually learning. Our experiences are what me make of them. Life experiences and learning experiences. I prefer to experience suffering as a learning experience and I carry through life with this frame of mind. If something happens that either I don't understand or am hurt by, I look within myself and within the criteria of what has been presented. Certainly, I could view struggles and suffering as punishment or play the martyr. But by choosing to seek enlightenment and knowledge, I live a more positive and productive life.

We were put on this earth to worship God. This life is just a test for us. Sounds like you need to take some time to some serious thinking and soul searching. Yeah the world is an unhappy place given everything that's happening. But notice the little things....the beautiful fall leaves, the scents in the air, a spider's web.... and then search for that fulfillment you seek. Look at the Quran, look at the Bible. Don't bother with propaganda you see here on R&S. Just read. :) Best wishes for you. :)

Humans are to blame for much of the suffering. They fight in wars, commit crimes and pollute the environment; however, Satan and his demons also cause a lot of suffering, the suffering that many people blame on God including many religious leaders. They say its God who is causing suffering because they themselves do not know the answer even though the answer can be found in the Bible
We suffer physically because Adam and Eve were disobedient and became sinful and one of the side effects of sin is sickness, old age and death. But the bible tells us that God, who's name is Jehovah, has made provisions to end all suffering and give people everywhere the opportunity to enjoy living in a paradise earth free from sin and death and all suffering.

We are here to grow and learn. Suffering is part of the process. Most people are just spoilled and whine about their horible suffering cause they didn't get what they wanted for Christmas or something. I know a lot of people in South America who own nothing but have very happy lives.

While suffering, struggling, sorrow, and pain are part of life, so is pleasure, happiness, relaxation, and comfort. Not enough of the latter and too much of the former for too many people, but we weren't 'put' here; we just are here, and the most rational way to deal with the situation is to help each other and try to cope with the circumstances as they arise in the best way we are able. Life isn't supposed to be any way. It isn't always fair, but if you are in a position to participate in this internet forum, your life is almost certainly in better shape than most of the other people in this world. Try to share your fortune with those who are less fortunate. It will make you feel better about yourself.

No, we weren't. I believe life was supposed to be perfect, but Adam and Eve messed things up. Sin got brought into the world and now there is suffer and struggling, but when you believe in Jesus Christ, that he died to save you, you have Heaven to look forward to. In the here and now suffering is existant, but not our purpose on earth. Our purpose is to glorify God and tell everyone else, so that everyone knows of Heaven and can make the choice to have eternal happiness.

Nope, you are supposed to have fun and party. It takes a lot of hard work but if you accomplish the things you want in life it's very rewarding, and you get to spend your free time having fun....that is the meaning of life.
Everyone has their ups and downs, just have a different outlook and you will be more satisfied. Oh and a few months of antidepressants can help too.

No we are to be full of Joy knowing we are doing the will of the Father. We were put here to be a study guide for satan, his angels and demons and the people who reject God. We are to be examples of the fact that righteousness can prevail and satan's temptations can be over come. In the end we are the great cloud of witnesses that justify the eternal condemnation of satan and all his followers. Pray for Joy. Ask Jesus into your heart. You can do it! Joy comes from fullfilling the will of God in your life whatever that may be. Trust me on this (an ex-depressed person)
