Yes, at normal doses and not too frequently, this is fine.

Look at the ingredients in "Goody's Powders" which have been used for many years:
Acetaminophen 260 mg / Aspirin 520 mg / Caffeine 32.5mg

We know that excessive use of combinations like Goody's can lead to kidney problems, so just don't over do it.

Yes, you'll be OK if you take them together, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. If you do take them together remember Tylenol and (especially aspirin) can be hard on your stomach so you want to make sure to protect your stomach with some food. Aspirin was once known as more of a pain killer, but doctors discovered that it was really more useful as a mild blood thinner for people with high blood pressure (thats why some people take a baby aspirin every day).

You can take them together because they are different medications. However, taking them together may not be necessary or advantageous. Tylenol is acetominophen and Aspirin is salicylic acid: two different classes of medications although they are sometimes used to treat the same things. They just act differently. If one is 12 or under, they should never use Aspirin because of the risk of Reyes syndrome.
