how should I write it if I have not done anything related to my major (biochemistry)

Wow, you sound like me when I was excepted to UCLA. Yes, that is definetly what UC campuses are looking for someone who can be an active participant in the world and making a difference. So I recommend getting involved with clubs organization, etc., that would contribute to your acceptance, because quite frankly it is competitive.

Have you tutored other students in your major?

Have you done any research for a grad student or professor in your field?

Have you attended any recruiting efforts for your school or major?

Are you a member of a honor society?

If not, why are you majoring in biochem? Is there anything there can you can expand upon? What is it you hope to achieve by majoring in biochem?

It's a bit tricky to do anything in your major until you've learned more. Are there any internships you are considering?

Get help from your school transfer center & input from some of the teachers in your major for ways to cover this issue.
