When Jesus was on the Cross the man asked for forgiveness because he truly believed Jesus was the savior. Jesus gave it to him, he died shortly after.
Does this mean that there were 2 people that died sinless lives?

John Doe....you can confess and confess and confess....but it doesn't mean you're sins were forgiven. You have to repent to have your sins forgiven, and a process in repentance is to stray from the sin. It's not "sorry, will you forgive me" it's "i'm sorry I did that and I'll try my hardest never to do it again! I need your help....blah blah blah" it's different.

I don't think you people even bothered reading my question.
I never said the man lived a sinless life, just that he died sinless. God forgave his sins, his sins were gone, he was sinless, he died, he died sinless....

Semantics my friend. How about we state it this way, Jesus was the only one who lived a sinless life.

No, the other man did not have a sinless life,,,but we do know he was offered the chance to be saved. Where was Paradise?,,,if it had been Heaven,,,Jesus would have said Heaven..
Some theologians believe that during the three days between Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, He descended into Abraham's bosom3 (Luke 16:19-31), proclaimed to them the mystery of the gospel, and then led them into heaven to dwell with God. The belief is that they were not permitted to enter into the presence of God in heaven until after the atonement. Once that had happened, Jesus who had died, descended to Abraham's bosom, proclaimed the gospel, and then led its residents into heaven.
So, even though we cannot precisely determine where Jesus was and what He did during those three days, it seems apparent that He presented the gospel message (not to have them get saved) to those in spirit prison and possibly also to those in Abraham's bosom.

Everyone who is saved is "sinless." Our sins have been washed away.
Jesus was the only one who was ever sinless because of His own doing. He is the only one who never needed to have His sins washed away because He had none.
(Also, Jesus did not say to him, "Your sins are forgiven right now." He said that they would be in "Paradise" together that day....)

No. The other man was a sinner saved by grace (Jesus).
Jesus was the only sinless man ever. The Word of God says, "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Jesus is God. God does not sin.

Who in the name of God said Jesus was sinless, as a catholic I know he wasn't, he was a human being, and humans sin in one way or another.

There's no way that you Christians can believe that an aborted fetus is not sinless, since you're so ready to believe that it's a human being, then it's just as sinless and just as holy as Jesus in death. Conjecture, I know, but very sound conjecture.

The man was not sinless. He committed sins and knew his need for a savior.

Small children or people who are uncapable of knowing right or wrong are also sinless. But the other person on the cross was a criminal, so no, his life wasn't sinless.

No, the man was saved because he accepted Christ as his savior but he still obviously sinned in his life as we all do. But by accepting christs blood we become sinless in God's eyes.
