Aw...I have to pick just one thing?
Your point is high on my list, but I think my BIGGEST peeve with them is the fact that they've decided that they can take any event or issue and turn it into an anti-homosexual issue.
Protesting Matthew Sheppard's funeral was in decidedly rude, insulting and in poor taste, but at least he was actually a homosexual. Protesting the funeral of heterosexual soldiers who died fighting terrorism/insurgents/whatever because they died defending a country that allows people to be homosexual is illogical and attention-seeking (plus, of course, rude, insulting and in poor taste).
Not every issue revolves around you. Not every agenda is a homosexual agenda. And the idea of hijacking the funeral of a dead soldier as a political platform or a totally unrelated issue....I've run out of adjectives (at least ones I can use on R&S)

I dislike the fact that they wont live long enough lives to pay the full amount of damages that they have been ordered to pay. But the good side of that is that they no longer will have the money to spread thier hate anymore, as all assets of the entire church will now go to the victims families to pay the restitution, including any future monies they might raise in the future.
I hope the family also gets the rights to the domain name as an asset as well, so they can shut it down. And if it was me, I'd sieze every single thing the Phelps own and sell it, then donate the money to a deserving charity like "Grace by Day" that assists AIDS patients by serving hot meals to them at home. That would be perfect.

i'm a Christian. i do no longer take the Bible actually. It became written via adult adult males, years after the events actual befell. That being stated i'm very religious. And thinking this way does not make me much less religious. The Bible additionally condemns many different issues that folk ignore approximately. It talks approximately how women human beings would desire to be subject to adult adult males, and how slavery is okay. How we would desire to continually no longer placed on outfits of mixed fabric. The Bible for me is a instruction manual, no longer a rulebook. The Westboro Baptist Church is a team of hating people who condemn each and every little thing this is diverse than them. i'm sorry yet that's no longer Christian. As Gandhi stated: i like your Christ, i do unlike your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.

Ghandi said "I like your christ. I do not like your christians, they are so unlike your christ." This pretty much sums up my feelings about Westboro Baptists. They go around screaming about jesus, yet demonstrate, over and over, intense hatred of anyone different from themselves.
If they want to protest, they need to take it to Washington and their lawmakers. To take out their hatred on the families of service people killed in action is just wrong. I am completely anti-war and yet I feel the pain of those who have lost loved ones.
I only wish the courts had found some way to REALLY punish these awful Westboro people. They can probably come up with the money....

Their very existence offends me! I'm especially offended that they use the term "baptist" in their name when they aren't affiliated with any of recognized baptist conventions in this country. As a member of a recognized baptist congregation, I'm horrified to think that anyone would believe that the message of WBC is in any way a reflection of what I believe or what any of the members of my church believe (the one's I know at least).
WBC is a dangerous, psychotic cult that I'd put on par with the KKK or any other hate group. Like all psychotic cults, they like to claim that they are doing the work of God but even a brief glance at their home page reveals that they answer to a different authority...heck, their URL says it all...anyone that would put "hate" and "God" in the same phrase doesn't know the same God I know!

The mere fact that they exist, in other words, absolutely everything about them. The are vile scum and raving lunatics who deserve all the hatred that people can dump on them. I seldom speak so judgmentally of anyone but I'm not the least bit ashamed to do so with them.

I do not know much about them but looking at their home page and other sites on them can see they are not Christian at all and also seems like it is only a few families in there membership and mostly are all intermarried. I think they sound more like someone who need to start to respect other peoples rights before we can consider to listen to them.

That the young children that were at the protests hearing the hatred and filth spew out of their parents' mouths were not immediately taken into foster care for their own good.
They are being abused, pure and simple.
