There are exceptions I would suppose. Someone who is terribly disfigured in an automobile accident or is badly burned. Birth defects or if someone needs rhinoplasty due to breathing problems. But for vanity's sake? I dunno. Some people go to the extreme. What do you think?

I think it is more of an insult to Harry Potter.
Hmmm... Harry Potter's imaginary you say?
You might be on to something there.

No, I don't think it's an insult to God. That would mean everyone wearing makeup, hair weaves, fake nails, piercings, tatoos, hair coloring, braces, etc...would be wrong to, right? Yes, people have been known to take things to the extreme. But at the cost of being laughed at or stared at with a terrible face lift that's been relifted a dozen times. Or boobs that overwhelm your body. Sometimes we do things to make ourselves look and feel better, which makes a little happier, therefore complimenting God ....anybody who thinks it reeks blasphemy....do you drive an expensive vehicle or have expensive tastes? Or drink and smoke? Those could be considered vain and destructive too. Amen...oh, & I AGREE with SmartyPants!!

I don't think is an insult to God, if that is the case then to wear some nice clothes or accesories, cars, etc. would be also an insult to God because with those things you could feel or look better with yourself and the others. This article could be useful for you, it was wrotten by a Bioethics specialist http://www.aestheticandplastic.com/news/so-vain-2.html

All the best!!

I don't know if God would take it as an insult. I think he would question if it's a valid stewardship of resources he's given us considering how much it costs. And from my own point of view, I think that we should treasure each thing God created. If he thinks it's special and good, then we should too. So I would definitely be hesitant about changing what he thinks is OK. This is just my opinion of course, not something I see as written in stone.

Aesthetic Expectation. Narcissistic control of the image in the mirror. Plastic surgery is another pursuit of the "Fountain Of Youth".

yes

we all have a disease in our body to kill us because that
is how you keep the population down. People want to
find cures because they are afraid to die. They can't accept
the pain of a loved one, and because we have gift of voice
we can express. We are the worst animals damaging
this world

An insult to God... not at all.

But these ARE things that DO INSULT God:
- child abuse
- rapists
- murderers
- pedophiles
- cruetly to animals
- etc...

Need I go on...?

God gave you the right to make decisions. I don't think it's an insult at all.

Why do you people give God human characteristics? If 'he' exists, I seriously doubt that we can do anything to insult 'him'.
