Notice how Wiccian avoided answering the question and no muslims were able to give facts or quote scripture to support their denials....

Because they don't want us (non-Muslims) to realize that Islam calls for the destruction of all those who do not believe the "prophet" Muhammad.

In reply to majeed.
They broke their words and so deserved death, eh? Then what do you say to this?

"Allah and His Messenger dissolve obligations." Qur'an 9:3

"The Prophet said, ‘If I take an oath and later find something else better than that, then I do what is better and expiate my oath.'" Bukhari:V7B67N427

So that the non-muslim world will stand idly by as more and more muslims surge into non-muslim countries and spread their hate. That is my theory at least. :)

wiccian, sweety, I thought this was a question about islam, not christianity. DMT never said that he was a christian (in fact, I still have no idea if he is, and particularly don't care), and never compared christianity to islam. Why would you attack christianity then? Hate? Prejudice? Ignorance? I think a good mix of all three.

All the verses that you quoted (save one, which is about punishment) are about honest warfare, not terrorism. They are simply please to do well in battle (which is the point of battle. I don't many people would fight for the purpose of losing and dying.)

dafrom, I'm afraid he proved you wrong with the scripture he quoted. The religion of islam is simply the carnation of the koran. The koran teaches terrorism (as DMT proved). Therefore...

majeed32, really found it hard to understand your post. The gramar was a little convoluted, and didn't make a heck of a lot of sense.
You say in your second paragraph "That you Christians (enemies of Islam)". By being muslim, you automatically consider yourself at war with Christians? THAT IS HATEFULL!
I read through your (no doubt copy-and-paste) post, and it seemed to me that your whole point was that terrorism is ok because "they deserve it". Am I right?
Tell that to the families who lost relatives during 911, or the thousand of other christians and jews who have been killed by muslim terrorists.

I love to hear "you're taking that out of context". Let me put it in context: Allah is commanding his followers on how to behave to non-Muslims.

Ok, with context established, let's address the second common attempt at befuddling those analyzing Islam: that you cannot harm 'innocents'. Islam does establish this principle; but the Islamic definition of 'innocent' extends only to Muslims. By Islamic standards, non-Muslims are not innocent, therefore harming them is not harming innocents.

To answer your question directly: some Muslims claim that terrorism is not an integral part of Islam because they choose to IGNORE integral parts of Islamic doctrine as they themselves are not inclined toward terrorism. Others, I think, say this so that non-Muslims will continue to blindly ignore the dangerous teachings of Islam (at their own peril).

You are taking the verses from the Qur'an and the Hadith out of context. Terrorists are burning in Hell because ALLAH(SWT) said whoever spills blood will be the first to be judged and taste the fires of Hell.

You've got it backwards. It's the terrorists who are claiming to be Muslims.

The prisons are full of people who claim to be innocent.

blah blah blah... i've heard it all before. This is more of the same propaganda. Isn't there anything different someone can find?

It ain't part of islam though i'm sure many people would like it to be because then they'd actually have an argument to present. :)
