Both are followed by the ability to stand up on ones own in a couple years (if growth is normal) and the ability to eat meat instead of just milk (if growth is normal) and then the ability to raise up and nurture/train up ones own children (if growth is normal). Unfortunately, to many spiritual births result in the baby not growing normally - lack of discipleship, study, prayer, work results in a spiritual baby not growing.

Yes both are started by a seed. Crist is the head of the church,He and He alone draws us,and plants that seed of faith in us the will in tme spring forth unto new life, eternal life. Just as the seed of man forms and brings forth new life, from an empty womb,so Christ plants the seed of His Word in us that brngs forth new life.

That used to be a whole lot more true back in the days of the inquisition. Then at least both instances of 'birth' were accompanied by blood and screams.

In both cases the person being born (or born again) has no choice. It is the will of the parents (or the Holy Spirit) that creates life (or new life.)

DEATH: IS REPENTANCE
BURIAL: IS SUBMERSION IN WATER
RESURRECTION: IS RECEIVING THE HOLY GHOST
JUST LIKE JESUS WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION
