Food is a controversial issue. But any connection between meat and aggressiveness is pure myth. Only way I can think that it would effect it is if you feed your dog just-killed meat--might make him kill chickens or something. Below are my recommendations for finding a quality dog food.

Good job for working hard to make sure that your dog is a good member of society. I would highly encourage you to get a book on raising a puppy. One of my favorites is Before and After Getting Your Puppy by well-known behaviorist Ian Dunbar. When she's still a puppy, try to take her everywhere (after she's had appropriate shots). Have her meet lots of people and experience different things. Sometimes she'll be scared and sometimes she'll be confident. But having these early experiences will make her a more confident, loving dog for the rest of her life.

You should feed your dog a high quality prepared dog food. It's the easiest thing and the good ones are formulated with all the nutrients which your dog needs. Try to make sure that a meat, such as chicken or lamb, is the first ingredient listed. Your dog won't get aggressive just because it's eating a meat-based food. Your dog could become aggressive if it's not socialized properly or you treat it in an aggressive manner. Try to have your puppy meet as many different types of people and other dogs as possible. Make it a pleasant experience for the dog with treats and praise and you'll have a friendly dog for life. As long as you don't over feed your dog (go by the chart on the bag) and make sure you walk your puppy everyday the dog won't become fat. Dogs are like people, they only get fat when they eat too much and do too little.

Where did you get this info? where ever it came from don't listen again... dogs are canivores and need meat. Feed a good quality dog food from a pet store with MEAT as the first ingrediants... Chicken, Lamb and Beef are all aternatives. Pit bulls can have skin allergies so consider a Chicken or Lamb based food. Good brands include Nutro, Eukanuba, Innova, Royal Canin, Eagle and even Costco's Kirkland brand .... lots of exercise will keep your dog fit. Follow the feeding recommendations on the bag, talk to your vet about feeding recommendations and brands of food when you get your pitbull puppy vaccinated and de-wormed!

You will kill your dog if you only feed her vegetables. Even if your dog ate raw meat it would not make her aggressive. Her individual temperament AND how you train her is what will form her behavior. Not if she eats meat.
You could consider a raw diet:

but it has to be properly balanced, OR
If she tolerates lamb and chicken you can try feeding her Canidae or Nature's Recipe Lamb and Rice.
If she doesn't tolerate lamb or chicken in commercial dog food, she will most likely tolerate it in a raw diet.
As far as commercial foods go, if you want to stay with pre-packaged food (which I use for my dogs for the most part) then go with a blend like Venison and Rice. Nature's Recipe was not recalled in the recent mega recalls. Neither was Flint River Ranch dog food, but you would have to order that and have it delivered, in most cases. Same with Orijen, another high quality food.
It's a myth that APBT's will be agressive if they eat meat.

It isn't good for your dog to be fat, so avoid table scraps and fatty treats. HOWEVER, when a dog is a puppy, it needs more fat and protein than an adult dog does.

I have a white pit he is 3 yrs old since he was a puppy we have fed him Nutro for large breeds and it worked great his coat always looks shiny and healthy and I don't know if it's just my pit or other pits are the same but his stomach is real sensitive, once I was eating cheetos and thought it would be cute to give him one big mistake he threw up all over my couch so I never did that again. Stick to dog food I recently had to change foods though the petco I go to seems to never have Nutro in stock so I changed to Purina Pro Plan for large breeds also and I think it's just as good but cheaper his coat still looks great. I hope you take good care of your pit because they are great dogs I feel super safe with him around but he's a sweetheart if you spend enough time with them you will see they are really smart my dog knows all the tricks and he knows that when he does something bad he has to go home (his kennel) and he won't come out until you tell him to. Good luck with your new pup

Meat is fine to feed your dog as long as it's not raw meat. I would suggest a good dog food such as Merrick, or Solid Gold, another one that is just as good maybe even better is Timberwolf Organics, but I cant find timberwolf around where i live.

that is silly. my dogs eat meat every day. They have eaten fresh kills, thawed out meat, they even get a whole raw deer leg, bones, meat and all(i have friends who hunt) to tear up every 3 weeks or so. and, one of mine is a pit, so feel free to feed her RAW meat(it is perfect for dogs), raw veggies, cooked veggies(but no cooked meat), or just high quality kibble, like Innova Evo.

Aggression in a dog is caused by the pet parents lack of knowledge of dog behavior NOT by what they eat. Check out Blue Buffalo Pet Food if you are interested in a healthy dog!
