Hendrick Motorsports probably has a current monopoly on the NASCAR racing scene, but there's always someone hunting them down. Will anyone come close in 2008? Who do you think it will be, and why.

I think JGR will give them a run for their money. I know he's new to toyota, but with all their $$$$, and the fact that they will be underdogs, they'll be even more driven to excel.

Uh NO team!
They have Jimmie and Jeff- and soon they will have the NASCAR poster boy- even though I don't like him. Lets see what he can do with Hendrick Power.

I think the only team to have a chance will have to be the" brat pack", Joe Gibbs racing look they know have Kyle Busch they're very lucky to get him!!!!!

Nobody will come close.
Joe Gibbs racing has proven to be the closest competition this year (Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin - next year Kyle Busch as well) but JGR has announced they are switching over to Toyota next season.
Toyota has not faired well this season and although I expect lots of improvement I dont expect it to dominate racing like Hendrick has.
Toyota has dominated the truck series for a few years so there are good things coming from them, but I dont see it ready to compete in 2008.

I'm a chevy person all the way...But theres something about Roush-Fenway yes they are a Ford Team, I think they might be real competition for HMS. We know one team for sure that will not even come close...DEI they will stink..

GIBBS is in a transition year
ROUSH appears to have some it the garage personallity conflicts that need to be addressed
DEI......lol
RCR for some reason cant close the deal when the chase starts
MWR needs better drivers
BDR----looks like chapter 11 in there future
WOOD BROTHERS---- give up the ghost already
PETTY ENT. Labontes good but needs better equip.
TEAM RED BULL----stick to open wheel
GANASSI --- see above
DOUG YATES -- on his own without Robert
PENSKI---- Thats possible....Newman and Busch have run pretty damn good as of late...
Throw in the COT running a full schedule and we have seen what the hendricks boy have done with that program........

I will Say Rousch-Fenway will be their stiffest competition in 2008. Kennseth-Edwards and Biffle should make the chase!!!!
