If you've got a Laptop, get a "Pelican Case" to protect it.
Get 4-5 more sets of PT shirts/shorts as thats the only off duty uniform
Xtra Gloves, Ballistic Eyewear
a Hooded Sweatshirt is good for sleeping (esp. in A/C tents or Kuwaiti nights)
Hoppes Boresnake in 9mm & 5.56mm
a Chest Rig is good for Mounted and MOUT work (ie:R.A.C.K.system from SDS/AITES)
Spec-ops brand "Wolf Hook" for your M4
Frankly, a lot of this you can get at the North Victory PX, or online and shipped to you in theater.
PS -Tactical Tailor Makes an NVD box thats MOLLE compatible, it protects your AN/PVS 7's or 14's and the rhino mount, much better than the enormous bag strapped to you. Your unit supply might be able to get them with discretionary funds

If your an MP most likely you'll have an M9, for that I suggest a quality thigh holster (see tactial talior). Also a pair of quality sunglasses blk on blk of course, I used Oakleys on my last tour and was pretty happy. I'll just list some stuff I found useful. Warning your assult pack will get heavy.
-Motoralla walk about radios
-Garmin Rhino GPS
-Small binos
-Shoulder holster for the M9
-Spare gator necks (geat for keepin the dust out of the mouth)
-Mil Tech weapons cleaning kit (their CLP works best over there)
-A multitool w/ sissors (the RFI one doesn't have sissors)
-A great set of goggles ESS sucks, check out REI they have a good selection.
-A molle pouch that fits PVS7/14s which ever you have.
-30 days of Socks, Underwear, and Tshits. Really, I ran short a few times even w/ 30 sets.
Thats all

If you are taking a laptop, take a few of your favorite DVDs. I took a few books when I deployed, but I like to read. If you are a reader and take some books or magazines, get a small reading light (they work better than a flashlight).

As a spouse of a husband that served our u . s . a ., i'm very upset that this became a query. to easily placed it, HELL NO. First, your husband is struggling with for each freedom you have as a citizen of united statesa.. He faces possibility considered and unseen. you are able to desire to theory or sympathy what he's dealing with. no longer basically, is he decrease than attack bodily, yet in addition mentally. My husband now has PTSD. I even think of which you thinking dishonest is HEARTLESS! curiously, your marriage vows did no longer advise very lots to you or did they? that's no longer approximately no be counted if he reveals out. that's approximately doing what's suitable. you are the only individual who would desire to stay with you. would God save our infantrymen!

Baby powder to keep you from chafing. If you can wear it with military clothing guidelines, get some Under-Armour briefs. They are a bit pricey but a good investment. They fit nice and help prevent chafing. The sand gets into everything and I mean everything. God be with you!

Everything you actually will need, will be over there for you to purchase.. Things you should bring are items that you don't think you'll be able to get there or are too expensive to buy.. Personal items, cd's, ipod, laptop, books, etc.. If you can't get it at a walmart.. Bring it..
