If your walls are yellow, I will assume you have a different accent color. I would do my curtains in either my accent color or a striped multi-color pattern. The multi color would allow you to pull in colors from it without changing wall color. Yellow is a color that goes very well with almost any other color, so you actually have many choices.

How about a print with yellow as one of the colors? You might find a kitchen print such as fruits and veggies, or maybe even a stripe. This would add some contrast with your solid color walls.

When selecting your curtains, keep in mind the color of the floor covering, the counter tops, and the cabinets. Choose something that will work together.

It depends on your style.

If you are going for sunshiney yellow, white or pale orange curtains would work.

If you are going for French cottage casual, country blue is the way to go.

If you are more avant-garde or trendy, choose lime green or citrus orange or even hot pink.

If you are conservative or just like pale colors, pale pink or lilac would be lovely.

If you want to make the room feel open and fresh try stark white. For a little jazz, try jalepeno red. By using colors from the same side of the color wheel you can create a warm space that will shock all your freinds.
