i liked a guy for a year then i went out with him and broke up with him because i'm really shy and can't talk around him and i still like him!

I don't think you are giving us the whole story here. Why will you break up with a guy you like, whom you are already dating, because you are shy.If shyness were the problem , how did you begin to date him in the first place, who made the first move, who suggested being boyfriend and girlfriend, who initiated the conversation etc----you get the point. This was a guy you say you had liked for a year before you went out with him and that you still like , yet you break up with him . How did you manage to do that if you are as shy as you say you are; to the point you can't talk around him. It just does not add up. What ever help you feel you need is already within you though I doubt you need any.

write him a letter or tell him face to face that ur sorry and u only did dat cus ur a shy person

find a way that makes you comfortable to tell him how you feel. probably by phone, letter or email
