Sounds like you could easily get an admin assistant job - temporary agencies or permanent job - for decent wages.

first, call all the doctors offices/employement offices/temp agencies to find out what skills they want and need at their offices. then educate yourself to fit the need if you don't have all the skills. doctor offices may want you to know medical transcription. that will take some time and education.

in the meantime, if your position is so bad, then you will work whatever job you can get...even if you hate it.

also try the temp. agencies for helping you find jobs. at least this way you can work at several places for a short time until you find one that likes you and one that you like. they may hire you permanently.

your skills may be good for telemarketing. if you don't work away from home, companies will hire you to work at home with the correct equipment. i.e. fast computer, headset, land line phone, quiet space, good customer service attitude. i have a list of about 20 or so companies. but try Alpine Access, 1800 Flowers , American Airlines to start.

You might consider trying a "Doctor's on Duty" type place. It's a clinic that does small emergencies and drug screens. One small bit of advice: use spell check whenever you write anything. People might draw unfair conclusions about your intelligence or education.

Also, it's easier to get a job if you already have one. That's not fair but it's true. So maybe get something in retail while you keep trying to "upgrade".

Krystal,

may i suggest a reading of '48 days to work u love' d.miller . a good book for going forward and plenty of fresh reference material.

the other one is 'total money make over' d.ramsey helps our folks retain their cash.
spending less and getting more value from their paychecks.

our associates have a mandatory read of the books.

It only takes 3 weeks to get your CNA certification.
