You can bath him with just a little Dawn dishsoap and that usually kills fleas then get Frontline from your vet tomorrow.

I'm sure peopl are going to tell you to bath him in Dawn dish soap. Just be aware that if you bathe your dog, you won't be able to use any proper flea treatments (veterinary spot-ons) on him for another 48 hours because they won't work. And your dog will be reinfested by this time!
Wait until the morning, this is not an emergency. Chances are this isn't the first, or only flea your dog has had, just the first you've noticed. Another 12 hours won't make a difference - it's worth waiting until the morning to get a proper flea treatment: Frontline, Advantage, Revolution or Advocate.

Where there is one flea there are others, but just go to the local vet in the morning and get some Advantage.
Your pug isn't in a lot of pain tonight. He/she will be fine. Unless the pug is itching a lot I wouldn't worry about it. If it is itching give it a oatmeal bath.

Get some flea shampoo, bathe him in it, and don't worry. Fleas and dogs are pretty normal. It isn't an emergency that requires a rush visit to the vet.
Also, try a flea spray that you use once a month or s/thing like that to keep them off. They also make a carpet powder that you can put down and then vaccum up to keep fleas out of your home.

You did not say how old it was and flea medican should not be used on very young pets so try dipping a flea comb in alcohol this will kill the flea if you don't have a flea comb use a cotton ball and touch the flea.and the dawn will be ok to bath it in just use a small amount and rinse it really good

Bathe him in a little soap. It kills the fleas but don't use to much because it might irritate the dog's skin. Don't let it get in the eyes either. Buy Frontline or K9 Advantix tomorrow. They are two choices of preventive that you put on them once a month. They work great! I use Fontline. Good Luck!

Get some Advantage or Frontline and put it on him, and then do this every month to prevent any more fleas.
You can buy these products at Walmart, which is open 24 hours near me - just don't buy any cheap flea preventative, they don't work, and whatever you do, don't try the home remedies like dishwashing shampoo, they can hurt your dog.

For now, tonight, rub a little oil onto his skin [not the fur, but the scalpy part, if you know what I mean], which should make the fleas slide off. Scrub him with soap, and a little dish soap which'll kill the fleas. Go to you vet tomorrow, get K9 Advantix.

A 5 minute dip in flea shampoo would be most appropriate. Afterwards, use oatmeal shampoo and cream rinse to get rid of that stinky flea soap smell.
Rinse your pug well, wipe between his face with a soft cotton ball, and clean his ears with tea tree ear cleaner.

just one flea? get a 'flea comb' and comb him EVERYWHERE. the teeth are so close together, it will remove the fleas and their eggs. dip the flea comb in soap water when you pull something off and dry the comb before hitting him again. then flush the water. if you can make it to the pet store, get him the 'natural' flea shampoo and spray. they are plant based (i think chrysantamum). YES they work but they do not PREVENT like those poisons like frontline and advantage. i use those plant based ones on my greyhounds. and oh yeah, was ALL his bedding in hot soapy water and dry in a hot dryer to kill any fleas in there.
