Happy Reformation Day

It a celebration in honor of one of God's great servants Martin Luther
On this day in 1517, Martin Luther posted the 95 Theses at the doors of a church in Wittenberg, Germany.

"Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, when He said (Repent ye), willed that the whole life of believers should be repentance. This word cannot be understood to mean sacramental penance, i.e., confession and satisfaction, which is administered by the priests.Yet it means not inward repentance only; nay, there is no inward repentance which does not outwardly work divers mortifications of the flesh.
The penalty [of sin], therefore, continues so long as hatred of self continues; for this is the true inward repentance, and continues until our entrance into the kingdom of heaven."

The Reformation brought a course correction to the church where by the teaching where to be from "scripture alone".

Do you think we need another reformation today?

What say you?

For catholics: All Saints' Day, All Hallows, Hallowmas ("hallows" meaning "saints," and "mas" meaning "Mass"), is a feast celebrated on November 1 or on the first Sunday after Pentecost in honour of all the saints, known and unknown. Halloween is the day preceding it, and is so named because it is "The Eve of All Hallows". All Saints is also a Christian formula invoking all the faithful saints and martyrs, known or unknown. In terms of Catholic theology, the feast remembers all those who have attained the beatific vision in heaven, while the next day, All Souls' Day, commemorates the departed faithful who have not yet been purified and reached heaven.

The Reformation was not just a course correction, it was a complete break away from, and rejection of, the monstrous heresy devised by the Roman Church. Its principles still stand.

Actually, that's not entirely true. Before Christianity set in Halloween was a pagan holiday to send the Dead on to the afterlife and hope for a good harvest if they gave "treats" onto the doorstep of their home.

What exactly do you want to re-reform? There's a lot of things that need reformation, church or otherwise.

I'm not Protestant, so I would guess we have very different views on the subject.
