Its focus is on witches, demons, ghosts, etc., and paganistic ideas IMO
Even though I'm Christian I don't advocate banning it. That would make it only more popular anyway. A lot of people in modern America are celebrating it just to "let off steam" and get out and have some fun, they probably don't think of the true implications of it. I'm one of the minority in this country that does understand the true meaning of all these things, so I choose not to participate.

It's not necessarily "evil". It is the association that people are trying to do.
It is the opposite of getting closer to God.
It is a day that typically is a ritual celebration for the dead, horror and so on that is associated with evil and death.
It is meant to scare and play joyfully with spirits from another realm that are not deemed "good".
Easiest way I could explain without going into real depth.

Tomorrow, November 1st is All Saints Day on the Christian Calendar. So traditionally, the night before was a night of evil spirits and the forces of evil. It was called "All Hallow's Eve".

I love Halloween. I don't think it is really "evil".
Just a night to have fun and dress up.

People who don't like Halloween or consider it "evil" are too hung up and like to only concentrate on things that make them angry. If you don't like it, don't support it and leave the rest of us who DO enjoy it alone! Go play hopscotch if that's your cup of tea, makes no difference to me.
