God says...if you acknowledge Him in all your ways, that He will direct your path. (Proverbs 3:6) He also says that the "ones" that keep the commandments will be the ones to enter heaven. (Rev. 22:14) I would look for a church that teaches and keeps all of the commandments. (Ex. 20) I will pray for you to find the right church but more than that ....for you to have a direct close relationship with God for yourself.
Email me if you would like to talk.

What you are looking for sounds like a nondenominational or an E.V. free church. The problem is not that just about all of them teach from the Bible, and not any religion, or other books, they both infasize on Gods love, and our relationship with Jesus, And prayer is always important, and very prevalent. But the music really differs from one to anather, and so does the preaching styles. I will recomend a couple of ways to find the one that fits you best. Fierst go on line to the city that you are in and look up the churches in your area, call them and talk to someone who works for that church, ask them about the church, be specific as to what you want to know. Most want to help you out, if they don't ? ask them maybe for arecording of a message, if they have that capeability. Pray about it, then try it out. Ipray that you find the church family that fits your desires, and needs, and that you seek Him always.

I am blessed to be a member of just such a church. I prayed to God to help me find a good solid teaching church, and He did. I have found that in general your smaller community churches have solid Biblical doctrine, and not a lot of ritual, man-made stuff. Our pastor has great messages, and the people of the church are God honoring, loving, wonderful people.
I will keep you in my prayers that you find a church home. Here is a link to mine, if you would like to have a look. Pastor Kevin's sermons are on there, and you can listen to them until you do find a church.
God bless you.

I'm pretty sure that there is a passage on the bible that goes " wherever there's two or more gathered in my name I will be there..." and so on... so if you are looking for a structure or building where people gather and pray or sing or dance or just plain convult with the holly ghost then pick up the yellow pages.... otherwise... exercise your free will and rationale... and exercise your belief the way you want.. not the way others want you to do it.

I'd say go to a United Pentecostal Church in your area. But, I'm partial. Seriously, look into a good, solid UPC church. The Apostolic message is wonderful and is just what you are describing. There are churches more or less, but, folks will be folks. But you will be sooooooo blessed.Keep me posted, okay.Look @ upci.org or upci.net for more info.

Honestly, try the Yellow Pages and just visit each one. Not all churches of the same denomination are the same. I used to go to Nazarene services. One Nazarene church didn't believe in dancing, and the other Nazarene church, just across town, had dances every other Saturday night.

My aunt goes to a large non-denominational church like this.
Actually, they have 2 services, one is more traditional and the other has a big band and more singing.
She's lives in Kansas City, Missouri, btw.

Based on the description of what you are searching for, it would serve you well to look into Jehovah's Witnesses. I had a similar search as yours for years, and found true Christianity practiced there.
Go to http://www.watchtower.org and request a free home bible study!
