after seeing the news about the Phelps today ... I have been trying to get to their web site to see if there is any mention of it
I cant access it despite several attempts and I can access other sites , so not a problem with my browser
can anyone else access it ?

On 2 November 2007 the official website of Westboro Baptist Church was taken down after a complaint filed by Iridius Izzarne of Seattle, Washington with the hosting company, The Planet. The site violated The Planet's acceptable usage policy. It remains to be seen if the site will return.
Hopefully it won't. The site was sickening.

How can such complete and utter bile as the Westboro Baptist Church even be allowed??!!! Unfortunately I could access their site and it's outrageous and that's an understatement. The way they picket funerals as well, whether or not military ones, and intrude with their hate-filled message on what should be very much a private moment of grief for the friends and family of the deceased. What a truely pathetic bunch of people these WBC members are.

No I can't access it either and I know it's not my browser either as I can access every and any site but that one. The page for whatever reason just doesn't display. Perhaps they were put out of commission to which I say good riddance if that's the case as they are a hateful bunch of people who do a huge disservice to Christianity and Christ's name spewing such garbage in Jesus's name. They take something such as a beautiful message from Christ and waste it and make it meaningless with their hatred and garbage that they preach.

These guys are insane! And those who follow these idiots seem very, and I mean VERY, paranoid. I wonder how many are on Lithium? LOL
They made monuments to the things and people they are against? Did they not read their bible? It says " Make no false idols to worship or to make sacrifices to". I think they forgot something........
Also, they have PODCASTS! But one thing they had in there was the evil of technology?!
I hope they can shut them down that is just as bad as those that live in South Dakota - the white supremist groups that have made their own encampment like military encampment and even where their children were camo! Maybe they need to live with them. LOL

Yes I can access the site, but I got a notice above my toolbar that the site wants to run something from an unverified source. The notice asked me if I would confirm that I trusted the site before running it. I don't trust the site so I didn't run it.

Perhaps they're experiencing a surge in traffic as a result of the news stories?

It's not just you. I tried it doesn't work. Yeah! Maybe with that large judgment they are unable to pay their web designer.
Unfortunately they are probably experiencing heavy traffic and their server is unable to process all the hits.

I would jump on the bandwagon without a second thought.
that is saying ALOT. I really dont like Islam, however I wouldnt jump on the band wagon to kill every last one of them.
