Hello peoples out there. Is there any one out there that help me with pantry, cooking ingredients. I am no cook and was wondering what are the top 30 ingredients which is a must have in your pantry. Everytime I get a recipe, I have to go out and get them. It is starting to cost too much. I have moved in with my sexy baby and he has nothing in his cupboards apart from pineapple and tomatoes. All I can think of is herbs, spices, different cheeses, tinned veges, soup, eggs, bacon, tuna. Just need the basic staples so I can just look in the fridge, cupboard and think of making something.
Thank you for your time.

Personally if I have the following I can make something good:

Herbs and Spices (mostly salt, pepper, garlic, and some kind of taco/fajita seasoning, maybe some basil or oregano, too)
Extra-virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Cream of mushroom soup
Chicken broth or buillon
Beef broth or buillon
Sour cream
Canned veggies
Tuna, chicken, ground beef, etc.
pasta, potatoes, and/or rice
lettuce/fresh veggies
canned/fresh fruit
Onions (or onion powder if you can't stand cutting them up)
Bread
Milk

If you bake you will also want things like flour, baking soda, baking powder, regular, powdered, and brown sugar, and vanilla

I would say if your a beginner cook you may want to get yourself some plastic containers for what you buy in the dry stuff like flour and sugar etc. and you might want to store your flour in the freezer so bugs don't grow. my list is Rice, noodles, bread crumbs canned, flour, sugar, apple cider vinigar (for marinadeing) you will find good recipes on the web as you go on... but here is a fancy steak recipe for ya. if he likes blue cheese that is.

2 steaks.... no bone fillet
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
about 3 Tbs. blue cheese crumbs
1-2 cups of blueberry Malot' (wine)

braze steak quick in a black skillet
leave in pan
pour about a cup of blueberry Malot in pan with steak
in a separate pan take about a cup of seasoned bread crumbs a teaspoon of butter and brown crumbs , set a side for later.
broil steaks for about 8 minutes on each side .(depends how rare you like it)
when almost done spoon bread crumbs and crumbs of blue cheese on top ( broil till done)
take the drippings of wine and spoon on top . enjoy your romantic dinner.
