Yes, there are basically two ways (assuming your stereo hasn't got a socket to plug the player into directly).
Firstly, you can buy a gizmo that looks like a cassette with a wire coming out of it. You plug the wire into the headphone socket on the player, and "play" the cassette bit in the stereo.
Or, you can buy a little radio transmitter that you plug into the player the same way, and tune the radio into it. That's probably going to be dearer - the cassette thingy is about a tenner, give or take.

I know there is an adaptor U can get to plug a CD player into the cigarette lighter. Maybe there is also one for mp3 players now too. Try " Best Buy" or other electric store.

I know there is a way you can connect a CD player via the tape but i can't remember what it's called. Ask in a stereo shop, they should know.

Yes, look on ebay, you can get a dummy cassette that has an mp3 headphone socket in it, pop it in, plug in your mp3 and off you go.

one of my friends has an ipod she bought a tape with an attatchment on the tape so she could play it through her stereo, donk know where she got it from
