On Fox News channel there was an article on the recitation that is sometimes quoted when at a military funeral, they fold the flag, each fold is supposed to represent something.

The Fox site didn't have it all posted, but I would like to know what the entire thing is. Nothing has come up in my web searches.

Any help here would be appreciated.

I am doing this in my class. I thought I would see if I could find what it means, and then challenge the students to do the same.

There is a recitation of "Old Glory", told from the flag's perspective, that is performed during retirement ceremonies at my reserve center. It may be the same for funeral details, but I am not sure to the exact wording. Try googling "Old Glory Detail".

BTW "Nick K" This conservative will to handling the flag this weekend, as part of the reserve center's color guard. I have served in the military, active and reserve, and I have to right to handle the flag. Have you earned that right?

I don't know, but I think that conservatives should not be allowed to touch our sacred flag. Keep your dirty hands off the American flag, conservatives!
