There is a comic movie called Dogma that runs along those lines (if you've never seen it, do. It's hilarious).

How exactly do we know if God even has a sex? Maybe God is a transsexual, or gay? I wonder what that would do to the religious community...

Personally, there is two Gods because in order to have harmony you have to have both sides of a coin. A caregiver, as well as a destroyer. A woman, and man. Taking turns.
Look at the bible, don't you think its odd how he went from destroying the world, destroying cities at odd times, to suddenly sending a son of his to talk about him, and do nothing when he dies (besides sending in some thunderheads)? And hasn't done anything since then (nothing major anyway)? Where did his sword go?

It is a known fact that the ancient people used to worship a Goddess before religion was corrupted by man, and a MALE God was made up.

Also the Greeks and the Egyptians had female goddesses - Athena, Hera, Isis, Bast etc

My Proof -

All the female clay or stone statutes uncovered by archaeological digs and dating back thousands of years. These statues have large b00bs and huge behinds, because they celebrate the fact that it is the WOMEN who create life and give birth, and not the men.

CCD? That's what they called my Catholic Sunday school classes, and they never would have called God a woman.

I was taught in those classes, however, that God is neither male nor female, as God defies gender.

I think that teacher is taking women's lib and abusing it. There is a lot of good that came out of the movement, yet this
is wrong. She should not be teaching CCD.

Since God is Imaginary she can believe what ever she wants it to believe. She can be glad I don't have a child in that school or any public school where religion of any kind is being taught.

It only makes sense following general Christian beliefs that God is neither man nor woman.... calling God man or woman is relegation. The use of "He" and "Him" in the Bible makes sense, considering that it was written by humans recounting these stories that were still in a very sexist, male-dominant society.

Well since the Bible refers to God as the Father and it does refer to him as a him I would say there is no evidence to say that God is of female gender

God is a Supreme being, so she was probably teaching that you may look at God uniquely. The Bible refers to God as Him, but whose to know, eh? believe in God in a way that you think is proper and according to the Bible and remember the Golden Rule.

God bless you.
